About Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio

About Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio

Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio is a GP clinic located at 531 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, serving residents across the Ang Mo Kio estate and the broader islandwide catchment. The listing has been verified by KakiList. The clinic holds a 4.8/5 rating across 113 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides reasonable confidence in the rating. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) on a per-visit basis, consistent with typical Singapore GP consultation fees of S$25–60, though patients should confirm the current fee schedule directly as charges vary by presenting condition, investigations, and any prescribed medications.

For a first visit, patients can contact the clinic by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm opening hours and whether a walk-in appointment is available or pre-booking is preferred. A GP consultation typically covers assessment of the presenting complaint, prescriptions where indicated, and referral letters to public hospital specialist outpatient clinics or private specialists if further investigation is needed. Patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and stroke — can access subsidised medications and investigations through a CHAS-registered GP. MediSave can be drawn for outpatient treatment under CDMP within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limit. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should check whether their insurer covers GP visits or requires a referral letter before any specialist claim.

To make an appointment or confirm same-day availability, contact Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio directly by phone or via the enquiry form on this listing.

My mum do her regular check upand blood test here with Dr Ban and I ike this clinic much. Clinic staffs mas and Emily always greet us with a big smile making our trip here feeling pleasant. Highly recommended!

Doctors here are wonderful — patient and professional. Sadly, the receptionists are not as pleasant; they struggle with simple tasks (such as giving accurate change) and can come across as rather rude (using demanding or sarcastic tones) in their responses. It wasn’t like this last year — the previous receptionists were much more courteous. Hopefully, this feedback will be taken on board and improvements will be made. We really do like the doctors.

This is my second visit to the clinic, as I was not provided with an alternative option due to it being a Sunday when most clinics are closed. Additionally, I have repeatedly experienced their lack of professionalism. The standard of care provided by the doctor and nurses indicates significant potential for improvement. They appear to be courteous and efficient when managing simple tasks. However, once greater effort is required, their negative attitude becomes apparent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio charge?

GP consultation fees in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit at a private clinic, with the final bill depending on the complexity of the presenting condition, any investigations ordered (blood panel S$60–200, urine test, swab), and medications dispensed. Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio is priced at the mid-range ($$), so expect fees broadly in line with the market norm rather than at the budget end. Patients eligible for CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) — Singapore Citizens holding orange or blue CHAS cards, or Merdeka/Pioneer Generation cardholders — can access subsidised consultation fees at participating GP clinics, potentially reducing out-of-pocket costs substantially. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions under the CDMP (S$500–700/year withdrawal limit). Confirm the current fee schedule and CHAS/CDMP participation directly with the clinic before your visit. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration details appear in the current listing data for Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio. Every legitimate GP clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, and every practising doctor must be registered on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg. Both should be verifiable before you book. You can search the MOH licensee directory for the clinic's premises licence and the SMC register by the consulting doctor's name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. The absence of these details in this listing does not necessarily mean they are not held — the information may simply not have been provided at the time of submission. Contact the clinic directly to request the clinic licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration number, and verify both independently before your appointment. For any planned procedure or referral, also confirm whether the clinic is CHAS-registered if you intend to use subsidised rates or CDMP benefits.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Beacon Clinic and Surgery Ang Mo Kio?

At a GP clinic, MediSave can be drawn for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes type 2, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, schizophrenia, and several others — up to the annual withdrawal limit of S$500 (general outpatient MediSave 500) or S$700 (CDMP-enrolled patients). Routine consultations for acute conditions such as a cold or minor infection are generally not MediSave-claimable at the outpatient level. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient and day-surgery stays rather than standard GP visits, though some rider add-ons include outpatient coverage — check your policy wording before assuming a GP visit is claimable. If a referral to a specialist or day surgery is anticipated, confirm pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer and request a Letter of Guarantee before any planned procedure to avoid post-treatment claim disputes. For any planned procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
