About "BG Badminton Academy"
BG Badminton Academy is a sports enrichment provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed and verified on KakiList. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 37 reviews — a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal of learner satisfaction. The academy is categorised under Sport and Swimming Schools and is priced at the mid-range tier based on available indicators, though specific session fees were not provided at the time of listing.
Families and individuals interested in joining should begin by enquiring about the appropriate level and programme fit — whether that is beginner fundamentals, intermediate skill development, or competitive coaching. It is worth confirming whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and whether the academy offers a trial class before committing to a term. The single listed centre is at 409 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3, though the islandwide coverage suggests coaching may also take place at other court venues. Parents should clarify the preferred location or ask whether sessions are held at multiple sites across Singapore.
The most direct next step is to contact BG Badminton Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current class schedules, available slots, trial class options, and term fees before making a commitment.
Take the trial class and confirm the coach's actual credentials before committing to a term.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I've been training at BG for awhile, and it's been a great experience. The coaches are really knowledgeable and patient, and they know how to push you to improve without making it overwhelming. I'm quite noob compared to some of my friends, so its very cool that the coaches can adjust the training to suit my level.
My son started this group 2-3 years ago. It started off very well with regular lessons and even the head coach Gerald will come by. Coach Habeeb is also very good and coaches well. Unfortunately, the Past 1 year has been terrible, they could not even secure bookings for courts, and when they do, the coaches change most weeks! And some of these coaches are really young inexperience ones who are basically just 'playing' with the kids. We buy a package for lessons but unfortunately it is really hard to use the package up nowadays as there isnt any slots for us to book! They even sold member packages which is totally not worth it, up till now i did not receive the DVD/tshirt promised, not that I really want it anyways. I only got it as they promoted it as many playing classes at cheaper rates and etc. All these are basically empty promises and it’s a waste of money, it was about 200plus per year for the membership. Unless they change their system, please be aware before you sign up with them for group classes/annual membership classes.
Great academy in Singapore for training. My kids attending the training for the past 1 year and they are both in the school team now. Good coaches!
A very professional team dedicated to helping my wife and I to achieve our goals. Coach Sylvester helped us with new ways of learning techniques and adapts the training based on physical capabilities. He is very understanding and made the training fun. Thank you to the team for organising the training!
Coach Adrian's beginner class is recommended for primary kids as he imparts techniques clearly and patiently. He also adds fun games to sustain kids' interest while improving their footwork. BG Badminton's plus points are pay-per-attendance feature and small class size (max 6) so students can pick up skills quickly even in a group setting. Keep up the good work guys!

BG Badminton Academy has not published its specific session rates on this listing. As a general reference, sports enrichment classes in Singapore typically run on a per-session or monthly package basis, with group sessions commonly ranging from S$30 to S$80 per session depending on group size, court hire, and coach experience. One-to-one coaching tends to sit higher. It is worth asking about trial class fees, whether materials such as shuttlecocks are included, and whether there are sibling or bulk-term discounts. Confirm all fees in writing before committing. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many badminton academies in Singapore offer a trial class at a reduced rate or at the standard per-session price, allowing prospective students to assess court setup, coaching style, and class pacing before signing up for a full term. During the trial, pay attention to whether the level matches your child's or your own current ability, how the coach structures drills and provides feedback, and whether the group size allows for adequate individual attention. It is also a good opportunity to check the court location and accessibility. Contact BG Badminton Academy directly to confirm their trial class policy and availability.
Coaching credentials were not specified in this listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether coaches hold accreditation from the Singapore Badminton Association or have undergone formal coach education through a recognised sports body. Experience coaching at school, club, or competitive level is also worth confirming. For junior programmes, ask whether coaches have experience working with children in the relevant age group and whether the curriculum is structured to align with school physical education or recreational development goals. If credentials are not available on the website or listing, contact BG Badminton Academy directly to ask before committing to a term.
