When reaching out to Black Dog House, it helps to have key details about your dog ready before making contact: breed, size, age, and any known temperament traits or behavioural concerns. If your dog has previously attended training or socialisation sessions, mention that as well. Vaccination records are typically required before any sessions begin, so have those on hand. Whether you are looking for a one-off behavioural consultation or an ongoing training programme, it is worth discussing the session format — group classes versus individual sessions — and the trainer's approach to positive reinforcement or other methods. The team can be reached via WhatsApp or phone, which makes it straightforward to have an initial conversation before committing.
To take the next step, send Black Dog House a WhatsApp message describing your dog's breed, age, and the specific behaviour or training goal you have in mind, and ask about current availability and session format.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
We were doing a dachshund hunting because I always wanted a dachshund., after seeing Little Black Nose's instagram that they have 3 dachshund siblings from Australia, we immediately enquired if we could visit in 30 minutes' time. David was very welcoming and explained on their personality and genetic history. He allowed us to see the pair of sisters one by one and gave us ample time to interact with each of them (brother found a fureva home) The place was very homely and clean, we could feel their love for animals. We knew we fell in love and left the place shortly with intention to bring one of them home so we took some time to discuss between ourselves. After an hour or two, we went back to visit them again and this was when we set our minds on Bailey (previously Sophia) the very same day!!!! Despite their closing hour, David and May accommodated our request to bring her home, he also recommended some vets for Bailey's last vaccination. It has been a week and we are so happy with Bailey in our lives. Highly recommended Little Black Nose !!!! ☺️
Chanced upon LBN and was attracted by the interior of the shop. It looks more like a nursery than a pet store. And here's when the story begin. A little one kept hitting the glass for my family's attention. OMG! that's the tiniest cutest little pup ever. We're skeptical but that little thing lead us to the store front. And that's when we met David and May. 1st qns 'Hi, is that your puppy?' Reply 'its available, would u like to view'.. OK, the rest is history. David and May was so accomdating to patiently allow my family to play & interact with the puppy for 2 hours on the eve of NY. David & May unselfishly advice us the pros and cons of having a young pup. The shop smells good, clean & spacious to play fetch with the puppy. The shop is not overwhelmed with dozens of puppies yupping all over. The pre purchase interaction time is peaceful & personel. 3 weeks on.. David & May kept in contact with a WA chat and they reply every queries promptly. Thank you May & David. My family brought home a lovely furbaby on 31st Dec 2025 (literally 3 hours before closing of the shop).
I was in the market for an apple head chihuahua and came across LITTLE BLACK NOSE (LBN) on instagram. Milly the chihuahua was exactly what i was looking for - the colour, size, pricing. LBN responded to queries very quickly and managed to convince me to come down for a viewing at their shop, within the same week. Their shop was clean, quiet, homely looking. They maintained a high standard of hygiene by requesting guests to leave their footwear by the entrance. The pup was very healthy, playful, but most importantly, i could tell that it is well taken care of by David and his partner. Being able to interact with the puppy was important as it sets the expectations of prospective owners minds to the reality of the puppy being in your home (should they decide to take it home). Being able to interact with the puppy also allows the prospective owners to get a feel of whether the puppy bonds with them or not. David is clear and patient in explaining the terms and conditions of the purchase, and this transparency puts my mind at ease.
We went to Little Black Nose, not expecting to see a shop that’s so cozy, just like a baby nursery. David and May were very friendly and professional. We could also tell that the puppies love them. It was love at first sight for us when we met our little Shih Tzu. David & May were totally not pushy at all. They let us interact with the puppy and readily answered our questions. We requested for another visit later in the evening and they obliged although it was past their closing time. We bought the puppy that day. Collection was seamless. They even groomed the puppy! We are so glad that we found Little Black Nose and would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a well-adjusted and well-loved puppy.
I read a lot of good reviews about Little Black Nose online while browsing for our fur baby. When we visited LBN for Winston, David is very welcoming. He allowed us to interact with Winston while being readily available to answer questions and offer assistance. I felt that this interaction is important to allow prospective pawrent and fur baby to get to know each other before making the big, important decision to welcome each other into their lives. Being a first time pawrent, I got worried and unsure about so many things. David and May have been most helpful and knowledgeable in answering every of my enquiries and providing solutions/ guides, sometimes even after their opening hours. I really appreciate how they took the time to listen to my concern. I also feel the genuine care and love they have for the puppies as Winston loves them so much. We went back to LBN for grooming and boarding as Winston enjoy their companies so much (LBN send videos of the puppies and provide us daily updates). I wholeheartedly recommend LBN to anyone who are in search of a pet shop that offers attentive service and have genuine care to the puppies without any pushy sales tactics.

Black Dog House is priced in the mid-range tier for pet training in Singapore. Exact fees depend on the type of programme — single behavioural consultations, group obedience classes, and one-to-one training packages each carry different rates. Add-ons such as follow-up sessions or customised training plans may also affect the overall cost. When enquiring, ask for a clear breakdown of what each session or package includes, how many sessions are recommended for your dog's specific goal, and whether there are any transport charges if the trainer comes to your location. Contact Black Dog House directly via WhatsApp or phone for a personalised quote. See the full pet training cost guide for Singapore →
Most reputable pet training providers in Singapore require dogs to be up to date on core vaccinations before joining any group or in-person sessions. For dogs, this typically means the DHPP combination vaccine (covering distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and a valid rabies vaccination. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly required, particularly for group classes where dogs are in close proximity. Vaccination records are generally expected to be current within the past 12 months. Bring your dog's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate when attending the first session. Confirm the exact vaccination requirements with Black Dog House directly before your visit, as policies can vary by trainer and session type.
Black Dog House is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, confirming it operates as a legitimate business entity in Singapore. For pet training services, the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board is the primary regulatory body for animal-related businesses; AVS licensing is most strictly enforced for boarding and grooming facilities, though trainers operating professionally are expected to meet responsible standards of practice. On the question of insurance, ask Black Dog House directly whether the trainer carries public liability or pet care insurance that covers incidents during sessions. This is particularly relevant if training takes place off-lead or involves behavioural modification work. Visit the facility or confirm the session venue, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
