Great NoGi jiu jitsu gym in a super convenient area of Singapore! Chose the gym as had previously trained with Coach Jason & couldn’t miss another chance to do so again ! The Muay Thai is on the 4th floor, but if you take the elevator up to the 9th and walk down half a flight (dead ahead) the NoGi mats are there! They’ve also got men’s and women shower area. Great rounds, will definitely be back!
I do BJJ and Muay Thai with Blessed. I have had 7 years of MT/ Boxing experience before Blessed and I have to say my striking skills have improved tremendously since I joined which was only a few months since last Sep. The gym is also generally welcoming towards testing cross train skill sets in sparring (e.g. Sanda, Judo, wrestling) with a heavy caveat of course that this is done safely and skilfully and within the prevailing sparring ruleset (MT, Boxing or BJJ) and not in a spazzy manner from some technique picked up on YouTube that is not at least adequately drilled. Never had a bad or boring class so far but I would like to shout out to the following coaches (other coaches are awesome too ♥️♥️) 1) Amir Gani - gym owner and very experienced. Welcoming attitude and willing to add value to members by giving specific guidance to upgrade their skills. For example, I am more of an in pocket fighter susceptible to kiting. He specifically had a class to teach anti kiting long range techniques to debug my flawed software. 2) Bryan Tee(p) - former ONE fighter and makes me feel like a noob from day one till date. I have significantly increased my skill repertoire under him (combinations, clinching, takedowns) and improved my execution sharpness. It is very telling that he can consistently sweep me multiple times in a sparring round despite me being 87 kg and him being 50+kg, and also that I am a judoka. 3) Jason Wu - BJJ instructor previously under 10 planet system and ex Wushu athlete. Delivers anti blue belt techniques to me and is able to also informally coach me on my other areas of interest e.g. Chinese style shuaijiao, MMA, trad Chinese martial arts, weapons fighting). Definition of a hidden gem 4) Ray - didn't train with him much but enjoyed the few classes that he did as he breaks things down specifically and well so that it is not just a fitness class but also technical. Enjoy sparring with him and shame he has to start NS now. 5) MD Sujimi "Jimmy" - very professional and fun coach who adds value to training of beginners and intermediate students. Strong recommendation to join his class if you are just starting to learn Muay Thai and want a coach with a "easy" personality to make it less intimidating. Also no slouch in technique - I saw him punch the bag on multiple occasions (during demonstration) bareknuckle - this requires elite technique. 6) Furqan Faizal - Singapore rep for SEA games MMA and a super anal coach in terms of correcting your bad habits. Very mature beyond his years and 20 min of MMA sparring session with him exhausts me out more than 4 hours of back to back classes (which is expected sparring with a pro) 7) Lee Yijun - doesn't get enough credit for her coaching maybe because it is overshadowed by her good work being the gym's "front desk" but I do enjoy her boxing class which focuses on basics and footwork application. In my limited opinion, getting your jab cross hook, head movement, and footwork right gets you out of the "newbie" bracket the fastest I hope that given my 7 years of modern martial arts training (MMA, MT, Kickboxing, Judo, Wrestling and BJJ) this can serve as a useful "insiders" guide for any interested potential members to gauge blessed's quality. Wouldn't claim it to be the best gym in Singapore or the world but what matters is what suits you the best and not who has produced xxxx numbers of UFC champions
Great martial arts gym with Muay Thai, BJJ, and Boxing classes! Not my first gym to train Muay Thai at, but definitely have had the best experience here so far. Coaches here are very experienced and friendly, and the classes are very well-managed too. Pace is just nice, enough to push me to keep improving, but not too tough to scare me away. True to its name, Blessed MMA offers a wide variety of martial arts including Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian jiujitsu (BJJ) and even no gi classes. There are many class timings to choose from as well. Location of the gym is very good too! Right in the middle of cbd, with many food options nearby and very close to different mrt stations like Raffles Place and Telok Ayer. Most importantly, for me, other than the classes themselves, is the vibes. Coming for Muay Thai class doesn't feel like attending just another fitness session, but the members here are all very friendly (I made many new friends within the very first month of joining Blessed MMA)! The general atmosphere is very welcoming and positive - everyone 'suffers' through shag classes together and then go for our well-deserved meal together too! The only pity was that I didn't join this Blesssed MMA sooner!
The coaches and fellow members are very welcoming! There’s good amount of padwork and time for self training with yourself! I always look forward for the session!
I’ve been training with Prof Kong for some time now, and his meticulous attention to detail has made a huge difference in my BJJ and No Gi journey. His commitment to each student’s progress is unmatched, and he creates a learning environment that makes you passionate about the sport. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, his instruction is tailored to help you grow, both technically and mentally. The gym environment is well kept, spacious and hygiene is enforced as well. Highly recommended for all levels looking to learn BJJ or No Gi.
