Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia may be eligible for MediSave withdrawals under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers a list of conditions at approved GP clinics. For planned specialist referrals, a GP letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) typically reduces the first consultation fee to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, compared with S$120–250 for a direct private specialist visit. Integrated Shield Plan (IP) coverage for GP consultations varies by policy — confirm with your insurer before the visit.

The Worst Clinic Experience I’ve Ever Had!!! I am extremely disappointed and angry with the service I received at this clinic this morning. I came here hoping to get proper medical help, but instead, I was treated with zero care, zero patience, and complete unprofessionalism. When I tried to explain my symptoms, the doctor didn’t even let me finish my sentence. She simply said she would give me two days of MC and told me to go home and rest — the whole consultation was over in less than three minutes! I walked out not even knowing what was wrong with me. This is completely unacceptable. To make things worse, the staff at the counter were rude, impatient, and clearly uninterested in helping patients. There was no communication between them and the doctor, and I was even given the wrong medication at first. How can a clinic make such careless mistakes? This entire experience made me feel disrespected, frustrated, and disappointed. I came because I was sick and needed help — not to waste money and be treated like a burden. Patients deserve better. This clinic seriously needs to review its staff attitude and professionalism before more people have to go through what I did.
Dr.Tan really went above and beyond for me. She was quick, efficient and friendly. She provided me with amazing care and answered my requests to the best of her ability even when the clinic was very busy. Thank you Dr.Tan.

GP consultations at private and CHAS-panel clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit before any subsidy. Patients holding a CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) orange or blue card, or Pioneer and Merdeka Generation cardholders, may be entitled to subsidised fees at participating GP clinics — confirm whether Canary Medical Clinic Marsiling is a CHAS-panel clinic when you call. Billed on top of the consultation are investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$15–40, swab S$30–80), prescriptions, and any follow-up reviews. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, request a written estimate that separates insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. No licence has been confirmed in the current listing data for Canary Medical Clinic Marsiling, so patients should ask the clinic directly for their licence number and verify it on the MOH directory before booking. Every practising doctor must also be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) — verifiable at smc.gov.sg by searching the doctor's name. Confirm both the clinic licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration status before your first visit. Neither alone is sufficient as a trust signal. If the clinic is a CHAS-panel provider, that status on the MOH CHAS directory provides an additional layer of vetting, as CHAS enrolment requires MOH verification of the clinic's operating standards.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment at approved GP clinics under the CDMP, covering conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500/year (general outpatient) or S$700/year (CDMP). Confirm that Canary Medical Clinic Marsiling is an approved CDMP clinic before assuming MediSave is claimable for your condition. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover hospitalisation and day surgery rather than routine GP visits — check your policy's outpatient rider, if any, and confirm pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer before the visit. For any referral to a specialist or planned procedure arising from the GP consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving clinic that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
