About "Canoe Academy"
Canoe Academy is a sport and swimming school operating islandwide from its base at 3 Stadium Drive, #01-33, Singapore 397630. The provider has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It holds a Google rating of 3.3 out of 5, though this is based on only 8 reviews — too small a sample to draw firm conclusions, and prospective students should treat that figure as directional only. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though no specific per-session fee has been published.
Families and individuals interested in joining a programme at Canoe Academy would typically begin by enquiring about the appropriate level and syllabus fit — whether that is a beginner introductory course, intermediate paddling skills, or competition-oriented training. It is worth asking whether sessions are conducted in groups or on a one-to-one basis, what the term commitment looks like, and whether any form of first session or assessment paddle is available before committing to a full course. The Stadium Drive location places the academy close to water sport facilities in the Kallang area, and prospective students should confirm which waterway or pool is used for training.
To take the next step, reach out to Canoe Academy directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on their profile to confirm current programme availability, session fees, and scheduling before making any commitment. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Absolutely poor communication. Two friends and I signed up for the 1 star kayak certification, and they didn’t provide any updates on the weather and whether it would push through despite the lightning warnings, and torrential rains over the weekend. We emailed right before and the evening before to no response. We didn’t show up due to no communication and they only responded after the weekend finished - stating that they will not give our money back, OR even bother to reschedule us to another weekend as we were willing to move our session. No updates on Saturday or Sunday that it would push through! Most groups would have emailed or created a WhatsApp group. They just informed us “sorry we went ahead. No refunds” without consideration given the lightning and storms. They then proceeded to ghost us and not respond even when one of us dropped by in person at the office. Mr. Goh Eng Soon has been incredibly unresponsive, his team at the office HQ would not assist us. And just kept redirecting us to him even though he has not responded or answered our calls. I highly do not recommend this organization and warn people to stay clear as it is the most unprofessional Singaporean organization I have ever encountered. They will take your money and run!

came for one star only to be rejected coz of unclear sandal definition and their weird rules. their programme manager will show sour face and rude. not pleasant to look at. zero conflict management and uncouth. no solution will be offered. their solution is to go to decathlon. regret to pick this establishment its more expensive than other too. choose sports hub instead.
Came for 1 star kayak course. Great coaches & curriculum. Good coach to student ratio. Safe and fun.
This is just in there notice board you book 3 days prior even for Sunday and they expect kayaking else just don’t go it’s complete waste of time

Canoe Academy has not published specific per-session pricing, so fees should be confirmed directly with the provider. In the Singapore market, sport and swimming school programmes are typically priced on a per-session, monthly package, or per-term basis. Per-session rates for coached water sport activities generally range from S$40 to S$120 depending on group size, duration, and equipment provided. Ask whether there is a separate materials or equipment hire fee, and whether a trial or assessment session is available at a reduced rate before you commit to a full term. Sibling discounts or block-booking packages may reduce the overall cost. Confirm all fees in writing before payment. See the full Sport & Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Whether Canoe Academy offers a trial session has not been confirmed in the available listing data, so it is worth asking directly when you make enquiries. A trial or introductory session is common among sport and swimming schools in Singapore and gives you a chance to assess the coach's style, the group dynamic, and whether the programme level is appropriate for your child or yourself before committing to a term. When attending a first session, pay attention to the coach-to-participant ratio, the pace of instruction, and how feedback is given. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe a session before enrolling. Confirming the cancellation and refund policy for the term before signing up is also advisable.
Credential information for the coaching team at Canoe Academy has not been published in the listing. For canoe and kayak coaching in Singapore, relevant qualifications to ask about include certifications from the Singapore Canoe Federation (SCF) or equivalent national paddling bodies, as well as any relevant safety or lifesaving certifications such as those from the Singapore Red Cross or Royal Life Saving Society. It is reasonable to ask directly how long the lead coaches have been teaching, whether they have competitive or national-level experience, and how they align their instruction to the ability level of participants. If you are enrolling a child, also confirm the coach-to-student ratio and the safety protocols followed during water sessions.
