About Carpenter and Cook

About Carpenter and Cook

Carpenter and Cook is a wedding services provider based at 19 Lor Kilat, #01-06, Singapore 598120, operating islandwide. KakiList has verified their contact details and operating channel. They hold a 4.4/5 rating across 1,572 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent client feedback over time. Pricing sits at the mid-range tier ($$) on a package basis; specific package costs should be confirmed directly with the team.

Couples typically begin by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm date availability and describe the event scope — venue type, estimated headcount, and the style or theme they have in mind. From there, Carpenter and Cook will outline the package options, covering what is included (hours of coverage, deliverables, on-site team), the deposit required to secure the date (typically 30–50% on signing), and the balance schedule leading up to the event. For weddings, it is worth clarifying whether the package covers the ROM solemnisation, the banquet reception, or both, and whether a tea ceremony is within scope. Confirm the deliverables timeline — for photography or videography, turnaround windows matter — and ask about the rescheduling policy should the venue or date need to change.

To take the next step, contact Carpenter and Cook via WhatsApp or the enquiry form with your wedding date, venue, and a brief outline of what you need — this allows them to confirm availability and send a package proposal for your review.

A charming venue for coffee and tea, perfect for a leisurely Saturday afternoon. The decorations and displayed items created a nostalgic atmosphere that reflected its past. The cakes and pastries were excellent and we enjoyed them very much. It was alittle noisy at first and we stayed till closing time (~6pm). Highly recommend if you are in the area 🥰.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carpenter and Cook around the Lorong Kilat area is such a charming little café and a real gem to stumble upon. From the moment you step in, the cosy, vintage-inspired interior makes you feel right at home—warm, relaxed, and perfect for a slow brunch or quiet coffee break. I had a simple sandwich here, and sometimes simple really is best. It was fresh, well-balanced, and absolutely yummy—comforting without being boring, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Paired with a good cup of coffee, it was precisely the kind of satisfying meal you hope for at a neighbourhood café. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, the space is beautifully styled, and it’s a great spot to unwind, read, or catch up with friends. Definitely a place I’d happily return to again and again. Highly recommended if you’re in the area! ☕🥪

This was my first time patronising this restaurant. We visited on 8 January. You can find many vintage items that brought back childhood memories, as they were similar to what my late grandparents used in their daily lives. It is a nice place to chill, with a DIY concept where you help yourself to water and cutlery. We had the pork ragout, prawn aglio olio, pistachio cake, coffee, and a matcha latte. We were served by Bell, who always had a smile on her face and provided friendly service. There was not much of a lunch crowd when we were there, which made the experience even more relaxed.

Carpenter and Cook at Lorong Kilat is one of my favorite spots in Singapore! It’s a cozy café that also doubles as a lifestyle store. I love the warm, rustic vibe inside with its wooden furniture and lovely lighting—it feels so inviting. The food is delicious, with a great selection of homemade pastries and hearty meals. Their coffee is fantastic, and I can’t resist trying their cakes whenever I visit! What makes it even more special is the little shop area where you can find unique home décor and vintage items. It’s a perfect place to relax, grab a bite, and maybe pick up something special for your home. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by!

My first time here for breakfast. Food is tasty. Sausage and hash brown is so good. Croissant is tasty with right amount of butter. No GST and service charge too! Only thing missing is there is no jam to go with our bread. Note: wife mentioned 2 times “too bad no jam” to me twice so I better write in the review. 😅

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Carpenter and Cook charge?

Carpenter and Cook prices wedding services on a package basis, placed at the mid-range tier ($$). Singapore market norms for wedding services vary by scope: full-day photography typically runs S$2,500–6,000+, full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+, and full event planning (excluding venue and catering) S$5,000–25,000+. The exact package cost depends on the services included, hours of coverage, and the number of deliverables. Itemise the full cost when reviewing any proposal: the deposit on signing (typically 30–50%), the balance payment schedule, any travel charge for venues outside the central region, additional hours beyond the standard package, and GST where applicable. Ask for a written quotation before paying anything. See the full Wedding Services cost guide for Singapore →

How far ahead should I book Carpenter and Cook?

For wedding services, 6–12 months ahead is the standard lead time for popular providers, and Carpenter and Cook's volume of reviews suggests consistent demand. Peak Saturdays in March, April, October, and November book out earliest, so if your wedding falls on one of these dates, enquire as early as possible. Confirm that paying the deposit locks in your specific date and that no other couple can be booked for the same slot. Also ask about wet-weather contingency if any element of the wedding is outdoors, and check the rescheduling terms in case a force-majeure situation — a venue closure, for example — requires a date change.

What does the deposit cover and what is the cancellation policy at Carpenter and Cook?

The Singapore industry standard for wedding services is a 30–50% deposit on signing to secure the date, with the balance typically due 1–2 weeks before the event. Confirm in writing exactly what the deposit covers — date hold, pre-event consultations, planning hours, or sample work — and whether it is refundable or transferable to a new date in the event of cancellation. Deposits for wedding services are typically non-refundable but may be transferable to a rescheduled date, subject to the provider's availability. Ask about public liability insurance, particularly if the wedding setup involves an HDB void deck, a condo function room, or a hotel venue that requires a copy of the insurance certificate before granting access. Put all rescheduling and cancellation terms in writing before signing. Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any venue-required paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
