About Dear Muse Makeup

About Dear Muse Makeup

Dear Muse Makeup is a wedding makeup and hair artistry studio based at 19 Carpenter St, Singapore, offering islandwide coverage for bridal and solemnisation clients. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The studio holds a 5/5 rating across 612 Google reviews, a robust sample that reflects consistent client satisfaction across a large volume of weddings.

Enquiries typically begin over WhatsApp or via the contact form, where couples share their wedding date, venue, ceremony type (ROM solemnisation, church wedding, traditional tea ceremony, or banquet), and preferred bridal look. Bridal makeup studios usually offer packages covering the wedding-day look, with optional add-ons for pre-wedding shoot sessions, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride or groom, and morning-to-night touch-up cover. A trial session is standard before the wedding day and gives both parties the opportunity to refine the look, test product compatibility with skin type, and confirm the style brief. Couples should confirm the number of looks included, setup location (home, hotel, or studio), early-morning call time availability, and whether a travel surcharge applies to non-central venues.

To take the next step, reach out to Dear Muse Makeup via WhatsApp or the enquiry form with your wedding date and a brief on your preferred style — trial slots fill quickly during peak wedding season, so early contact is advisable.

Miko is my makeup/hair stylist for my pre-wedding shoot and despite the changes in the schedule due to the rain, she was so patient, encouraging and helpful. Also I really loved the hair, was impressed that she knew exactly how to address my concerns. She’s also very fast for both make up and hair styling! Thank you for your time and braving the sun and insects with us :)

I engaged Miko for my pre-wed shoot makeup and hairstylist, and also had her for my actual day makeup and hairstylist! She knows exactly the kind of style to match my gowns, and was really warm and friendly, which made the whole experience pleasant and enjoyable. Both times when she did my fresh looks for my actual day, she completed it fast and we were able to be ahead of schedule because of this, which was really great for us! And despite her completing it faster than expected, the quality was not compromised at all. Thank you Miko for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day ❤️

Miko did my pre wedding shoot makeup and loved how it turned out :) she did it so effortlessly and quickly and glad she was able to accommodate my schedule change! Also wanted a shade that would match my natural skin tone and glad she managed to do that so well :) makeup lasted throughout the shoot and wasn’t heavy at all, thanks Miko for making my PWS a great one :)

Had a really good experience with Pey Yi who was my actual day hair and makeup artist! She was super prompt with her responses and was early for appointments. She was quick to make adjustments/tweaks when I voiced any concerns and she also made the session really comfortable. Also received compliments for my hair and makeup. Highly recommend! 🥰

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dear Muse Makeup charge?

Dear Muse Makeup displays a mid-range price point ($$). Bridal makeup and hair packages in Singapore typically run S$600–1,800 for the wedding day, depending on the number of looks, number of changes, and whether a pre-wedding shoot session is included. A trial session is generally priced separately at S$150–400 and is standard practice before the wedding day. Confirm the full package scope in writing: number of looks, call time and location, travel surcharge for non-central venues, add-ons for bridesmaids or family members, and the deposit and balance payment schedule. GST should be clarified if the studio is GST-registered. See the full Wedding Services cost guide for Singapore →

How far ahead should I book Dear Muse Makeup?

For wedding makeup artists, 6–12 months ahead is the norm, particularly for popular Saturday dates in peak wedding season — March, April, October, and November book out earliest. If your wedding falls on a public holiday weekend, expect even higher demand. A deposit (typically 30–50% of the package value) is paid on signing to hold the date. Confirm the rescheduling and cancellation policy at the time of booking, as bridal artists often hold a date exclusively and cannot easily fill a cancellation at short notice. Starting your enquiry early also gives you time to schedule the trial session at a relaxed pace rather than close to the wedding date.

What does the deposit cover and what is the cancellation policy at Dear Muse Makeup?

The industry standard is a 30–50% deposit on signing to secure the wedding date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. The deposit typically covers the date hold and the scheduling of the trial session. Deposits in this industry are generally non-refundable but may be transferable to a revised date if circumstances change. Confirm the rescheduling terms in writing — especially for postponements due to unforeseen events — and ask whether the trial session fee is absorbed into the package or billed separately. For setups at HDB void decks, condo function rooms, or hotel suites, confirm whether the venue requires any vendor registration or access pass, as some venues need to be notified of arriving vendors in advance. Lock in all terms with a written contract before paying the deposit.
