About CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang

About CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang

CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang is a general practice clinic located at 304 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4, serving residents in the Choa Chu Kang and surrounding west-side neighbourhoods. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 2.2 out of 5 rating across 172 Google reviews — a robust sample size that warrants careful consideration before attending. No regulatory licences appear in the listing at this time, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; prospective patients should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration independently before booking.

For a GP visit, patients can typically walk in or book by phone or online form. A first consultation covers presenting symptoms, clinical examination, and where relevant, investigations such as a blood panel, urine test, or referral for imaging. The clinic falls under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) framework common to GP clinics in Singapore, which may allow subsidised visits for eligible Singapore Citizens holding CHAS cards. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol, the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) enables MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient management at participating CHAS GP clinics. If the condition requires specialist care, the GP can issue a referral letter to a polyclinic or public hospital specialist outpatient clinic.

Contact CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm current operating hours, CHAS participation status, and whether the clinic accepts walk-ins or requires an appointment before attending.

I used to visit this clinic a lot previously when it was the nearest panel clinic for my workplace, although I have since moved away. The clinic runs with locum doctors so the doctors may change from time to time, but my experiences here have always been positive. The staff are friendly and the consultations are efficient yet still thorough. Doctors take time to check symptoms properly and explain the situation clearly. Waiting time has also generally been quite fast whenever I visit. Dr Gilbert Ng saw me today and took the time to go through my symptoms and medical history carefully, which I appreciated. Sometimes the queue can be long, but the waiting time is usually still within about an hour. Most of the locum doctors and pharmacy staff I’ve encountered have been friendly and respectful. I also remember Dr Helena being very kind and wishing me well when I finally caught COVID after two years.

Today's doctor didn't bother to listen fully to why I got my sickness. Ask for a memo to be put as food poisoning since there's a chance I have that but bro hesitate. Like I'm suffering from food poisoning symptoms and you don't care. Didn't even check my stomach to see for any abnormalities. Bro just checked my temperature and that's it. Paid a total of $66, $29 was consultation since it was public hoilday. Was a terrible consultation from today's doctor. Doctor put on my referral letter that I had moist tongue, bro you didn't even check my tongue. Also during consultation, didn't even tell what medicine I'm getting. During payment suddenly got 4 medication I have to pay for. I was damn sick at that point, so I just paid for the medicine. Not sure if the other doctors are like these too but reviews proved it.

I went here because I had food poisoning. I waited for two hours in the sun, vomited in the grass outside, then went home to a virtual doctor instead. I would never recommend going here. One of the worst examples of Singapore health care you will find.

After seeing the doctor, Step out of the clinic, come back in less than 15mins to get a memo, the clinic asked me to wait for 1 hour and charge $10 to the memo. Hi dr, I told you that I'll be claiming insurance when I see you. Why aren't you providing the memo in the first place?

Receptionist and the doctors are friendly. Visited in the evening during a public holiday and there is a surcharge. But if you're under IHP its waived. The queue moved pretty fast under the new doctor. Like that the clinic's entrance is always open for proper ventilation to outside air, but I guess it's not cost or environmentally friendly. Maybe they should replace the sofas as they are quite torn and worn out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang charge?

GP consultations at private and CHAS-panel clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit before any subsidy. Patients holding CHAS Blue, CHAS Orange, or Pioneer Generation or Merdeka Generation cards may be entitled to subsidised rates — confirm with the clinic whether it participates in the CHAS scheme and which card tiers are accepted. Investigations billed on top of the consultation include blood panels (S$60–200 depending on scope), urine tests, and rapid diagnostic kits such as flu or COVID swabs. Prescriptions are billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask for a cost estimate upfront. Is CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration appears in this listing, which means verification must be done independently before attending. Every legitimate GP clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the consulting doctor's name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. The clinic carries a 2.2 out of 5 rating across 172 Google reviews, which is a robust sample and reflects a pattern of patient dissatisfaction that prospective patients should weigh carefully. KakiList has verified operating details, but this does not substitute for confirming the MOH licence and SMC registration directly. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at CCK Family Clinic Choa Chu Kang?

MediSave can be used at GP clinics for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions — the withdrawal limit is S$700 per year per account holder. General outpatient MediSave withdrawals outside CDMP are capped at S$500 per year and apply only at approved clinics. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP consultations, though some IP riders include GP outpatient benefits — check your specific plan before assuming coverage. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CHAS-panel and CDMP-approved provider, and whether it accepts MediSave claims, before attending — not all GP clinics participate in every scheme.
