About Central 24-HR Clinic Hougang
Central 24-HR Clinic Hougang is a general practice and 24-hour clinic located at 681 Hougang Ave 8, serving residents in Hougang and the surrounding north-east region. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed. As a 24-hour GP clinic, the typical visit covers acute illness consultations, minor injury treatment, repeat prescriptions, and basic investigations. Walk-ins are accepted at any hour; for non-urgent matters, calling ahead to gauge current wait times is advisable. Consultation fees at private GP clinics typically run S$25–60, with add-ons for blood tests, swabs, X-rays, and medications billed separately. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan or intend to use MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for listed conditions such as hypertension or diabetes, confirm the clinic's participation before attending, as not all 24-hour clinics are enrolled in every scheme. For specialist referrals, a GP referral letter from this clinic can open the public hospital SOC pathway at subsidised rates.

Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Frankly speaking , I was a bit hesitate to go this clinic when saw Google review . But the counter staff is ok , the Dr is gentle and patient. My dg didn’t have big problem. So price not cheap but also not that expensive . The only downside is the environment, it really needs some Reno or organising. The waiting area is like a store room and bench is cracking . A bit mouldy feel . Please do something for the room
24 hours, counter lady was nice and professional. 1 pax handle all the crowed and medicine dispensing. Tough on her. Doc probably needed to sanitise his hands and wear gloves before jabbing his patients? Most importantly, the entire clinic is mold infested. Not the best for patients and staff.
Doctor basically couldn’t be bothered at all. In and out in 2 minutes. Did not bother to communicate with me at all and felt he was just going through the motions. Mind you this was after the counter staff measured me and I was having a 38.5 degree fever and was truly unwell. Very bad experience wouldn’t visit again. The doctor’s attitude is ridiculous, although the counter staff were really polite and sweet. What a stark contrast. Doc, Pls do better.
Would give 0 stars if I can for this terrible doctor and ridiculously high prices. First of all, I waited 10-15m to see the doctor even though there was no patient in there at all. Then, the female doctor saw me for less than 1 minute, only asked basic symptoms, said she will give some medicine and nothing more (didn’t look at my throat, nothing). Did not bother to elaborate what medicine or how many days MC she is giving me. I had to probe if she will give antibiotics and she just replied - yes. I was also running a high fever at this point. And in the end she gave a bunch of random medicine (mouthwash?? nasal spray) but did not even give cough and sorethroat medicine. Never coming back.
I visited this clinic for a sore throat on a weekday night. The clinic was full of patients with various illnesses, some coughing and sneezing without masks.Clinic was quite busy, have to wait soooo long......and the doctor seemed a bit rushed due to the large number of patients. I received some antibiotics, but my problem didn’t fully resolve. The night-time consultation was also a bit more expensive. I ended up going to another clinic for further treatment

GP consultations at private 24-hour clinics typically run S$25–60 per visit, with after-hours and public-holiday surcharges that can add S$10–30 on top. Investigations are billed separately: a basic blood panel is typically S$60–200, a urine test S$15–40, and a swab S$30–80. Medications are dispensed and charged at the point of service. If you plan to use MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia, confirm the clinic's CDMP enrolment status before attending, as MediSave outpatient withdrawal is capped at S$500–700 per year and applies only at enrolled providers. GST applies on private medical services. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are listed in the provider data for Central 24-HR Clinic Hougang. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Before attending, particularly for ongoing care or any procedure, confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly with the clinic or via the respective public registers. The absence of listed licences here does not confirm they are absent — it means they have not been verified through this listing.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient stays and day surgery; outpatient GP visits are generally not covered unless you hold a specific outpatient rider. Confirm your plan's outpatient benefit scope with your insurer before attending. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment at enrolled clinics under the MediSave 500 scheme (S$500/year for general outpatient conditions) and under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (S$700/year for CDMP-listed chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and asthma). Confirm the clinic's enrolment in these schemes before the visit, as MediSave cannot be used retrospectively if the clinic is not enrolled. For any planned procedure or referral, request a financial counselling session and ask for a written estimate splitting insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
