Dr Chee is very impressive, knowledgeable, patient, and comprehensive. In my opinion one of the best specialists I’ve seen so far, compared to doctors from Gleneagles / Novena Specialist Centre / Mount Elizabeth Novena. 1. Checked with me regarding my symptoms, medical history 2. Conducted ear scope, seems clear, minimal earwax and healthy translucent eardrum 3. Then to rule out possibility of something more serious to do with my sinus, he conducted a scope of my nostrils all the way down to my throat (vocal chords) - disappointed I don’t have a singer’s vocal chords (usually odd shaped or inflamed to give them a unique voice e.g., raspy) BUT at least I don’t have a deviated septum, in fact I have a “pretty symmetrical septum” so thanks Mom. I also have no growth or inflammation in the area between my nose and ear so good that’s ruled out. I was initially very scared and squeamish but his calm demeanour, reassurance, and numbing spray helped 4. Advice for itchy ear: Don’t scratch ear, will become more itchy 5. I now have detailed high-res photos of my ears and nose…

Had very bad nose block post-op and was referred by my doctor to doctor chee as my doctor was travelling out of Singapore. Doctor chee did nasal irrigation for I think nearly 50mins. I was amazed by his dedication in cleaning up the best he could. Now I can breathe so much better and sleep well in the night. While Dr Chee is nice and friendly, he couldn't diagnose my chronic cough and each time was only giving meds to address the symptoms such as inflammation. It was only after i went to see another ENT that i was treated for acid reflux and immediately treated my chronic cough. For cough, the 3 main causes (which all ENT specialists know) is asthma, acid reflux, sinus, yet despite multiple visits for more than a year, no attempts were made to try to treat for acid reflux... which was actually the easiest by just giving acid reflux medication like gaviscon. Thus, friendly but not effective in diagnosis.
