About Chilli Padi Confinement

About Chilli Padi Confinement

Chilli Padi Confinement is a confinement food catering service operating islandwide from its Bedok North kitchen. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and holds a 4.6/5 rating across 367 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides a reliable signal of consistent customer satisfaction. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) on a package basis, though specific package fees should be confirmed directly with the provider.

Most mothers begin by enquiring about the 28-day standard package, though shorter trial options (7-day or 14-day) are worth asking about before committing to a full month. Packages typically cover two to three trays per day — lunch and dinner as a baseline, with breakfast sometimes available as an add-on — and it is worth confirming whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are bundled into the package price or billed separately. Chilli Padi Confinement operates from a fixed kitchen address, and meals are cooked fresh and delivered hot, so confirming the twice-daily delivery windows and the freshness-to-door timeline before signing up is advisable. Clarify also whether packaging is BPA-free and microwave-safe, and what the policy is if a delivery is missed.

To get started, contact Chilli Padi Confinement by phone or via the enquiry form to request the current package menu, confirm delivery coverage for your address, and — if available — arrange a trial meal before paying any deposit.

Did a 28 day dual confinement meal plan. Food is delivered on time and I look forward to my meals everyday. Quantity was more than enough, food is nutritious and tasty but the vegetables could be less oily. My favourite dishes were the pork trotter vinegar and anything with sea bass - it was so flavourful and well cooked. Service was great too, I contacted them a couple times via FB messenger and they reply promptly. Overall highly recommended for the nourishment and convenience!

I ordered from Chilli Padi Confinement (14 days) from 14 Nov 2025 to 27 Nov 2025 and overall had a positive experience. Customer service is excellent. I requested to start on Day 8 of the menu (Nourish menu) and change the white rice to brown rice. My meals were always delivered within the stated time frame of 10am–1pm, consistently arriving around 12 noon, which was very convenient as I could have my lunch on time without any delays. The food also came in a thermal container, so it was always warm upon arrival. However, the taste and texture of the food were not fully to my liking. The brown rice was too hard, some dishes were too bland and the vegetables were quite tough to chew. The longan red date tea was also too sweet for my preference. Still, the reliability of delivery and food temperature were great so I’m giving it 4 stars.

Getting confinement meal plan from Chilli Padi is one of the best decision we made. My wife loves it so much that she is even considering to extend the plan. - Every dish has its own unique taste yet healthy. - The portion is just nice - Delivery is right on time. - They come in insulated container which is a huge bonus. (Not in a single use plastic containers like others). Loves everything about this.

Highly recommended. High quality ingredients and well cooked. I don't eat Chinese dishes regularly for meals and was worried that I will be sick of the food but the menu has many variety. The portion is large for 1 pax and I sometimes share it with my hubby or my toddlers so great value for money. Also, I picked chilli padi because it comes in reusable containers.

2nd time ordering Chili Padi confinement as the experience the first time was pretty pleasant. Food always came hot and is still hot when i start to feast. Deliveryman was very polite to knock on the door instead of ringing the doorbell which i believe is to avoid disturbing the baby. In terms of taste, i would say overall 7/10. Variety can be repetitive for the vegetable dish (snow peas and kailan which was drenched in quite a bit of sesame oil - supposedly good for you), and there were a few soups that were 2 dimensional (or too spicy! for my liking). The meats / fish were pretty flavourful in general and variety is quite wide. Lastly, i like that they prepare the red date soup for both meals. Pretty much drinking that through the day, and flask keeps the drink warm. Overall, value for money for the price paid as it helps ease my load on food preparation / planning what to eat, especially when i do not have a nanny to help me out. P.S. do use their Early Bird Promo code to enjoy 5% discount

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Chilli Padi Confinement charge for a confinement food package?

Chilli Padi Confinement prices packages on a mid-range ($$) basis, though exact figures should be confirmed directly as they are not publicly listed. In Singapore, 28-day confinement food packages typically run S$1,200–2,800 depending on the number of trays per day, the dietary tradition, and whether herbal soups and tonics are included. Shorter 7-day or 14-day options are sometimes available for trial or partial coverage and tend to be priced proportionally. Confirm whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are bundled or charged separately, as this can shift the effective daily cost noticeably. Also ask whether there is a delivery surcharge for landed properties or addresses outside central Singapore. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does Chilli Padi Confinement follow, and is there a trial meal?

The dietary tradition and menu style at Chilli Padi Confinement should be confirmed directly — the name suggests a Singaporean-Chinese culinary influence, but whether the kitchen follows Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, or a blended postnatal style is worth asking explicitly. Singapore's confinement food traditions each have distinct approaches to warming herbs, ginger, sesame oil, and rice wine use, so alignment with your own family's preferences matters. Also confirm whether the daily menu rotates or repeats on a weekly cycle, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who prefer low-spice or alcohol-free preparation. Asking about a trial meal — typically available from reputable caterers at S$30–60 for a single day — before paying the package deposit is strongly recommended, as personal taste and appetite shift considerably during the confinement period.

Is Chilli Padi Confinement licensed and how is food safety handled?

Chilli Padi Confinement operates from a fixed kitchen at Shimei East Kitchen in Bedok North, which is a commercial kitchen facility. However, no SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence is listed in the provider's current data, so you should ask directly for the licence number and current SFA hygiene grade (A is highest) before paying any deposit. A legitimate confinement food caterer operating from commercial premises is required to hold an SFA licence. Confinement meals should be cooked fresh on the day of delivery and dispatched hot in BPA-free, microwave-safe containers, typically within a four-hour cooked-to-delivery window. Confirm the twice-daily delivery time slots and the provider's policy for missed deliveries or refunds. Order a trial meal and confirm the SFA hygiene grade (and MUIS halal certificate if relevant) before paying the package deposit.
