About Chilli Padi Holding

About Chilli Padi Holding

Chilli Padi Holding provides confinement food catering on an islandwide basis across Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and holds a 4.2/5 rating across 748 Google reviews — a robust sample that offers meaningful confidence in service consistency. No regulatory licences are currently listed, which is noted below. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range bracket ($$), though specific package fees have not been published and should be confirmed directly.

Confinement food packages typically cover a 28-day period, with delivery of two to three trays per day — most commonly lunch and dinner, with an optional breakfast add-on. Before placing a deposit, it is worth confirming the dietary tradition on offer (Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, Western postnatal, halal, or vegetarian), whether herbal soups, red dates tea, and longan tea are included in the package price or billed separately, and how the daily menu rotates over the course of the month. Delivery slots are typically twice daily — midday and early evening — with meals cooked and dispatched within a four-hour window. Ask about packaging (whether containers are BPA-free and microwave-safe), the substitute or refund policy for missed deliveries, and whether a trial meal can be arranged before committing to a full package.

To take the next step, contact Chilli Padi Holding by phone or via the enquiry form to request a menu, confirm the package price and delivery schedule for your due date, and arrange a trial meal before paying any deposit.

It has been a long while since i have been back. The staff were helpful but appears to be understaffed or overwhelmed by the lunch crowd. Its good to know the dishes were still tasty, beef rendang, kuei pie tee was good but i usually prefer a punchier chilli on it and this lacks that umpf!, chap chye not bad,and the wine prices decent. We had meatball soup with bamboo shoots as well as sambal sotong, brinjal they were not bad. Regreted not having asked my friend to order the sambal sotong petai.

I can't recall when was the last time I visited Chilli Padi Nonya Restaurant but I can 100% confirm the standard has dropped significantly. The otak really cannot make it — the texture was dry and hard, the portion is very small, and it didn’t taste fresh. It seemed like reheated otak. The sambal prawn had no sambal taste and the texture was quite soggy. The dry laksa was overly salty — I only managed a bite. Fish meat is fresh but very mild assam taste only. Chap Chye still up to its standard. The environment looks nice and refreshing after the renovation, and we made our online reservation three weeks in advance. Overall, though, I’d rather go for other places that serve better Nonya food.

My favourites were the mee siam, curry bean curd and chicken wings. Runner ups were the gold dust peanut and green bean kweh kweh. Overall, you probabbly definitely wouldnt go wrong with chilli padi as I have tried many of their catering and each were rather on point.

Amazingly well made rendang! It did came dried up, so i did nicely ask if they can add more gravy and they did it eventually after going though two staff members. Other than that we did enjoy the homemade food and savory treats. Will definitely be back! Yumm!!

It’s been a while since my last visit 7 years ago. The food standard is as good as before. Highly recommend the beef rendang served sizzling hot, and sotong hitam masak in very flavourful blend of spices. Potato leaves were tad “tough” would surely be more tender if cooking time is slightly longer. Will return again if in the area :)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Chilli Padi Holding charge for a confinement food package?

Chilli Padi Holding has not published specific package prices on this listing, so you will need to enquire directly for current rates. As a reference, the Singapore confinement food market typically runs S$1,200–2,800 for a standard 28-day package, depending on the number of trays per day (usually two — lunch and dinner — or three with breakfast added) and whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and other tonics are bundled in or charged separately. Shorter trial packages of 7 or 14 days are offered by many caterers and are worth considering before committing to the full month. Confirm whether there is a delivery surcharge for landed properties or addresses outside the central region. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does Chilli Padi Holding follow, and is there a trial meal?

Chilli Padi Holding's specific dietary tradition has not been confirmed on this listing — contact them directly to clarify whether the menu follows Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, Western postnatal, halal, or vegetarian conventions. In Singapore, Cantonese-style confinement food is the most common, featuring warming herbal soups, ginger, sesame oil, and sometimes rice wine; halal-certified options use a different preparation method and should carry a MUIS certificate. Before paying any deposit, ask whether the daily menu rotates over the 28 days or repeats weekly, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who prefer low-spice or alcohol-free options. Most reputable caterers offer a single-day trial meal at roughly S$30–60 — this is strongly recommended, as confinement appetite and taste preferences are highly personal.

Is Chilli Padi Holding licensed and how is food safety handled?

No regulatory licences are currently listed for Chilli Padi Holding on this listing. Licensed confinement food caterers in Singapore should hold an SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence, with a hygiene grade of A, B, C, or D — A being the highest. Halal-certified providers additionally hold a MUIS certificate, which should appear on packaging and be verifiable on the MUIS online directory. Confinement meals are typically cooked on the day of delivery and dispatched hot in microwave-safe, BPA-free containers, arriving within approximately four hours of preparation. Before paying a deposit, ask Chilli Padi Holding to confirm their SFA licence number and hygiene grade, clarify the twice-daily delivery time slots, and explain the refund or substitute policy if a delivery is missed. Order a trial meal and confirm the SFA hygiene grade (and MUIS halal certificate if relevant) before paying the package deposit.
