The receptionist seemed rude! Update: just read the other reviews. Referring to the same person. But, she was clear and gave additional information on the medicine and vaccinations. Seemed like a straightforward person. Can’t judge a book by its cover!

My family and I used to come here often because Dr Chua and his wife(one of the receptionist) were very friendly + kind, and still are. However, a few days ago, my father was disrespected by another older receptionist. That receptionist had been rude to us for a long time but we tried to look past it. However, my father told me that during the last visit, she was extremely rude and fierce to him. I'm going to assume she knew my dad was deaf since we visited many times. When it was my dad & mum's turn to see the doctor, and my parents were waiting back facing the clinic, that rude receptionist apparently came out with a very fierce expression, scolded my father she called him on the phone so many times so why didn't he come in. My dad though deaf, explained to her the phone number might be his daughter's(which neither me nor my sister even receive) so he didn't know. But she still had that nasty expression and gesture impatiently for them to enter. That embarrassed my dad as she might talked loudly which he is at a disadvantage since he can't hear. We go to see a doctor because we are sick, not to get scolded for no reason. That receptionist is just being rude and terrible. We had been going to the clinic for 20 over years and because of this repeated rude behaviour, we will not go back anymore. If you see the other reviews, the rude receptionist is the one I'm referring. So it's not just us. We don't expect a 5* service, but that was a negative 5* service from her. To add on, unlike Dr Chua's wife, who always patiently explain detaily about the medicine, that rude woman just assume my parents know and blah blah and dump the medication on the counter, making my parents confused. I saw a comment saying after she left a bad comment, the clinic called to scold her and ask her to take down her review. Please don't bother to call me, unless it's to apologise to my parents. No patients should be treated that way. I don't care if that old receptionist is tired/moody, she should not take it out on my parents, you work as the front line, not backend. Do you know what customer services is? this happened too many times, rude lady. You want respect, you need to earn it. So many people commented about your behaviour and yet, there's no improvement. If doctor Chua or Mrs Chua happens to read this, I advice you to talk to that lady, or more extreme, fire her or else these complaints will just keep coming.

Google shows that the clinic is open until 9pm, and I arrived at 8:10pm. One patient was collecting medication and another was about to see the doctor. I came because my eye suddenly became swollen and very painful, and since this clinic is close to my home, I rushed over. When I asked the receptionist (an elegant and poised older lady with grey hair and glasses) if I could still see the doctor, she immediately said they were already closed and I could not be seen. There were no other patients waiting at that time. I asked again if I could be seen as the last patient, but she declined again and additionally asked whether I was using company insurance. She repeated that they were closed (although regardless of insurance, I was not allowed to be seen). I understand there may be internal closing procedures. To avoid patients making a wasted trip, I suggest that if you are unwell, in urgent condition, or arriving within the last two hours before closing (especially if you plan to use company insurance), it may be better to visit another clinic to avoid delays in treatment. I hope those reading this will not miss the chance to receive timely care.

I am down with flu and severe cough for 8 days. Went at the insistence of my manager. Was initially very reluctant after reading all the negative reviews of the receptionist. Now, day 2 of meds and my cough is v well controlled. Doc is good as hoped. I made sure I declare that I am using company card and strike a short conversation with the receptionist. I do not have the bad experience. I understand that when one is ill, the last we want is frustration with the process. Maybe things are all changing for the better. I felt i need to post to support any good effort.

Great night shift receptionist, nice lady, kind and tells me any food to avoid & how to take the medicine etc. However the clinic’s pharmacy stock is quite limited, don’t even have paracetamol and other slightly more expensive but more effective otc meds, which other clinic had prescribed to be b4 and worked better for me. Must own self buy from elsewhere. So if u want to use insurance, not best place to go. Btw the waiting area is outside only and vv hot, so don’t go if you have fever and see long queue :(
