About Chua Clinic and Surgery Yishun
Chua Clinic and Surgery Yishun is a general practice clinic located at 844 Yishun Street 81, serving patients in the Yishun area and across Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. The clinic holds a Google rating of 2.8 out of 5 across 23 reviews — a modest sample that reflects a mixed reception, and prospective patients should weigh this alongside other factors before booking.
For a first visit, patients can walk in directly or call ahead to check waiting times. As a GP clinic, typical presentations include acute illness, minor injuries, repeat prescriptions, and referrals for specialist care. Patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows partial MediSave withdrawal for outpatient consultations and selected medications. Those requiring specialist input can request a referral letter for a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic, which typically reduces consultation fees substantially for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Integrated Shield Plan holders should confirm whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel before attending if they intend to claim.

This clinic really is nonsense they open morning 8am but no doctor until 12 ?
The few times i approached this clinic, receptionist says doc still not in yet.
Untrustworthy clinic! My FDW went to do the mandatory medical check up and the receptionist insisted they will send the report to MOM instead of issuing the medical report on MOM’s renewal template to her. Best is, the handwritten receipt for $70 had no description and only ticks for medication and consultation.
Lousy counter staff. I called at 7pm and ask what time is doctor available until and she said 9pm.i rushed down and reached at 730pm only to be informed that I need to wait for an hour.rude, why can't she tell me over the phone and when I talked to her she is busy eating and don't even bother looking up at me when replying me. Waste my time I should have gone to other clinic!
This is quite old clinic , doctor was good and check detail but the consultation fee and medicine more expensive than other clinic. Consultation fee $30 medicine ( all is take when need actually I no need too much) $33 total $63 for my back pain.

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations (blood panel S$60–200, X-ray S$80–150), procedures, and prescriptions. GST applies on private medical services. Patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) can use MediSave to offset outpatient costs — up to S$500 per year for general outpatient use and S$700 per year under CDMP for listed chronic conditions. CHAS card holders (Blue, Orange, or Pioneer/Merdeka) may also be eligible for subsidised fees if the clinic participates in the CHAS scheme — confirm this directly with the clinic before your visit. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask for a written breakdown of expected charges so you know the out-of-pocket portion upfront. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been confirmed in the listing data for Chua Clinic and Surgery Yishun. Every legitimate clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory — and every practising doctor should appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, which also shows specialist accreditation and any disciplinary history. Prospective patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before booking. The absence of these details in a public listing is a gap worth resolving with the clinic itself — legitimate practices will have no difficulty providing this information. Verify the doctor's name on the SMC register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, but GP outpatient visits are not typically claimable under most IP policies — check your specific plan terms. MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year. CHAS subsidies at participating GP clinics can further reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible Singapore Citizens — confirm whether Chua Clinic and Surgery Yishun is a CHAS-accredited clinic before your visit, as not all private GPs participate. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a pre-treatment financial estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and cash portions in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
