For most patients, the journey begins with a walk-in or phone call to check waiting times, followed by a consultation with the attending doctor. A GP visit typically covers acute illness, chronic disease management, health screening, minor procedures, and repeat prescriptions. Patients managing conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — such as hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, or asthma — may be able to use MediSave 500 or 700 for qualifying outpatient visits. Those requiring specialist care can request a referral letter, which unlocks the subsidised Specialist Outpatient Clinic pathway at public hospitals. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether this clinic is on their insurer's panel before attending if they intend to claim. The clinic is reachable via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form.
Contact Chua Medical Clinic and Surgery directly by phone or WhatsApp to confirm current consultation hours, waiting times, and whether your chronic condition or health screening need can be addressed at this visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Went in w influenza A, Dr Chua was super kind & the clinic staff (Ai Chin and Sharon) were very patient also. Went to eat food outside after appt, shaorou was so good
Dr. Chua is very patient and caring towards myself and my family members during our visits to the clinic. He is very meticulous and detailed in patient diagnosis, and we feel very assured under his medical care. He is very willing to share medical tips during every visits and I always gain valuable knowledge that is beneficial for me and my family. Clinic staff are experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Look no further if you are searching for a family physician to cater for your primary care needs!
Horrible experience, just went to the clinic for a flu vaccine can be waited for 2 hours. The clinic did not go by number order, I did ask the staff few times when was my turn and they kept saying it was next but was not true. Do not recommend unless you have plenty time to wait.
Doctor Chua is very humble and behaves like a friendly neighbour. He came out of the room personally to greet and usher all patients into his room. Very positive experience. Came here for Sinopharm vaccine. They responded within the day and scheduled me in early slots. Most Other health institutes are painfully slow in response like 1 week later and most informed that that vaccine are out of stock. 1 of them offer a schedule that is 2 months later.
Dr Chua has been our family physician for many years. He is always professional and compassionate. He relates well to people. Very responsible and detailed. The entire staff is wonderful too!

For a private GP consultation, typical fees in Singapore range from S$25 to S$60, with follow-up visits sometimes lower. Common add-ons include investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine tests, an X-ray (S$80–150), or a rapid diagnostic test, as well as prescriptions and medical certificates billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. Patients eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) can withdraw up to S$500–700 from MediSave per year for qualifying outpatient visits covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, and asthma. Health screening packages vary widely in scope and cost — basic screenings start around S$80–150, while comprehensive panels with imaging can run S$500–2,500+. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask for a written breakdown of consultation, investigation, and medication costs before proceeding. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history by searching the doctor's name. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this KakiList profile. This does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean verification cannot be completed from this listing alone. Patients are strongly encouraged to confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the attending doctor's SMC registration directly before booking. Verify the doctor's name on the SMC register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For GP visits, IP coverage is generally limited — confirm with your insurer whether outpatient GP claims are included under your specific plan or rider. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient visits under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient chronic disease management, S$700 per year for CDMP-listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm with the clinic which conditions and services qualify before assuming MediSave can be applied. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask the clinic for a written cost estimate split by insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions. If your insurer requires pre-authorisation or a Letter of Guarantee for a planned procedure, arrange this before the appointment to avoid claim disputes after the fact.
