Interior Designer: Kiwi Lim Theme: Modern Farmhouse Overall, our experience with Kiwi was overwhelmingly positive. He was humble, knowledgeable, meticulous, dependable, and welcomed feedback. Kiwi's impeccable work ethic was evident in his recommendations that well represented our lifestyle priorities, theme, timeline, and budget. During the initial planning stage, Kiwi made great efforts to understand our preferences and lifestyle. His good grasp of our priorities led to designs that balanced practicality with farmhouse elements that we desired in our dream home. Prior to renovations, Kiwi provided us with insightful advice on material selection, colour palettes, and how individual elements contributed to the overall theme. He also took the time (several weekends actually) to introduce us to various showrooms which featured furniture, appliances, and materials that appealed to us. Once renovations started, we truly observed the dedication and passion that Kiwi invested into our new home - he was often on site ensuring quality of works, gave regular updates, and responded promptly to all our communications. All of Kiwi's efforts culminated in a dream home that we are proud to call our own. His expertise and dependability made the whole renovation process a stress-free experience for both me and my wife. Review for Interior Designer – Marcus I had a very positive experience working with Marcus as my interior designer. He is extremely patient and attentive, taking the time to understand all my requirements and concerns in detail. One thing I really appreciated was his ability to help me source back the exact same original laminate for my new doors, which ensured consistency with my existing design. He is also very responsive — even late at night — which gave me a lot of peace of mind throughout the renovation process. Marcus consistently tried to propose cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality, and he was flexible when I decided to change my feature wall to wallpaper midway. When I highlighted a design issue where the wardrobe door would block the toilet door, he was quick to help me think through and find a workable solution. Overall, Marcus is professional, responsive, flexible, and easy to work with. Point for improvement: It would be better if the quotation could be more detailed to avoid variation orders (VOs). For example, items such as higher doors or door frames that incur additional charges should be clearly stated upfront. An earlier site visit could help align expectations and reduce adjustments along the way. Despite this, I’m satisfied with the overall experience and would recommend Marcus to homeowners who value responsiveness, patience, and practical problem-solving.

Out of so many designers I met during ID selection phase, Gilbert stood out because he actually listened and remembered all my requirements. He proposed a design that incorporated everything I wanted, plus even more, along with a very competitive quote. It also doesn't hurt that he is very easy to get along, and I find that we vibed very well. I can tell that he is someone who can be trusted. I am glad I chose Gilbert. He renovated my very old resale unit and brought my visions of my home to life. His sense of design is excellent - his colour matching and coordination in choosing the materials (windows, laminates, sintered stone tops) really made my home pop. At the same time, he gave me many surprises along the way, little things that are not in the quotation but he added for me. It's a treat seeing all the surprises every time I come over to visit my house during the renovation phase. He constantly kept me updated on the progress, and every time I highlight issues that I have spotted, he will promptly address my concerns and made sure the issues get resolved fast. Being an old flat, it comes with a lot of problems, but Gilbert is able to navigate the issues smoothly and provide good solutions. His project management with his various contractors is smooth and flawless - able to communicate what I want to his contractors. I admire Gilbert for his meticulousness and attention to detail. At the end of the renovation, he is able to spot the tiniest of flaws and pointed them out to me, and then ensuring the various contractors fix all the flaws in a very timely manner. I can feel his pride and professionalism at work as he ensures that he delivers a perfect project to me. I feel safe and happy moving into my new home, and it's all thanks to Gilbert! I definitely will not hesitate to recommend his services to my friends and families considering renovating their homes.
