About ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services)

About ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services)

ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services) is a confinement nanny agency based at 147A Selegie Road, Singapore, offering islandwide placement. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. With only 2 Google reviews at a rating of 3/5, there is insufficient data to draw conclusions about service quality — prospective clients should treat that figure as directional only and conduct their own due diligence.

Engaging a confinement nanny through an agency typically begins with an enquiry about availability for your estimated due date, followed by an interview with a shortlisted nanny to discuss food traditions (Cantonese, Hokkien, or other preferences), herbal soup preparation, overnight newborn care, and any specific postpartum recovery requirements. The standard arrangement covers 28 days, though some families opt for a 56-day engagement. Because popular nannies are booked months in advance, it is advisable to begin the search at least four to six months before your due date. Agree all terms — duties, sleeping arrangements, meals, and food preferences — in writing before confirming the booking.

To take the next step, reach out to ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services) via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to check nanny availability for your due month and arrange an interview.

Avoid this agency! The nanny they provided was unsafe and unprofessional. She once placed our baby face-down in the crib and left him unattended. When confronted, she became defensive and raised her voice. From the outset she displayed a persistently bad mood, which created tension in the household. She ignored the baby’s cries and often delayed responding for several minutes. She spoke to us without courtesy or respect. She never used basic politeness such as “please,” “thank you,” or “good morning.” She spoke loudly, disregarded our family’s way of life, promoted outdated and unscientific practices, and frequently showed rude behaviour (e.g., making loud snorting noises). The manager, Josephine Tan Ching Jo, was dishonest and uncooperative. She failed to provide a replacement nanny for 25 days, however, she refused to return any portion of the 3600 SGD deposit for 4 months of service. This conduct should be reported to MOM. (M.O.M. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services) charge for confinement?

ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services) displays a mid-range ($$) pricing indicator, though a specific package figure is not publicly listed — contact them directly for a current quote. For reference, the Singapore market for a standard 28-day confinement nanny package typically runs from S$3,500 to S$6,500, depending on the nanny's experience, whether overnight care is included, and whether the food (herbal soups, daily meals) is provided separately or bundled. Confirm in writing what the package covers: overnight newborn care, baby bathing, mother's daily meals and herbal soups, and any surcharge for public holidays falling within the 28-day period. A 56-day engagement is available from some providers at a proportionally higher rate. See the full confinement nanny cost guide for Singapore →

How far ahead should I book ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services)?

Book at least four to six months before your estimated due date. Experienced confinement nannies in Singapore are frequently reserved six to twelve months in advance, particularly for January and February due dates when demand peaks around the Lunar New Year period. Once you make initial contact, the agency should arrange an interview so you can assess the nanny's dialect, cooking style, experience with newborns versus recovery-focused care, and comfort with your household's food preferences. Use the interview to discuss your dietary tradition — Cantonese, Hokkien, or otherwise — and any special requests such as a specific herbal soup repertoire or dietary restrictions. Confirm the booking in writing, including the exact start date, duration, scope of duties, food arrangements, and the agency's policy if your baby arrives early or late.

Is the nanny trained and what happens if she is unsuitable?

There is no mandatory government certification for confinement nannies in Singapore, so the quality of training varies. Ask ConfinementNanny.com (Josian Services) whether their nannies hold any recognised certification (such as those issued by confinement nanny training schools) and how many confinements each nanny has completed. Using an agency rather than a freelance nanny provides one key advantage: a replacement guarantee if the nanny proves unsuitable. Ask for the replacement window in writing — typically 7 to 14 days from the start of the engagement — and clarify what circumstances trigger a replacement versus what is considered the client's preference. Interview the nanny before booking, agree the food and overnight terms in writing, and confirm the agency's replacement and refund policy before paying any deposit.
