Booking a confinement nanny typically requires planning well ahead of your due date. The process begins with an initial enquiry — ideally four to six months before your expected delivery — followed by an interview with the nanny to assess compatibility, discuss food preferences (such as Cantonese herbal soups, dietary restrictions, or preferences around dairy), and agree on overnight care expectations. A written agreement should cover the full 28-day (or 56-day, if offered) scope, including what the nanny will prepare, night-feeding responsibilities, and any specific postpartum recovery requirements. Confirming these terms clearly before any deposit is paid protects both parties.
To take the next step, reach out to Flegen via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to check nanny availability for your due month and arrange an interview before committing to a booking.
Interview the nanny before booking, agree the food and overnight terms in writing.
My husband and I attended the ' Caring for your newborn' class today. The class was led by Abie who was very engaging and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot from her, especially my husband who has never held a baby before. 😂 Definitely recommend this class for first time parents as it helps prepare you for when baby comes.
It was very helpful! I learnt a lot, it’s not information that I can find on the internet. Even searching online, there’s a lot of info and I don’t know what to follow. The session was very engaging and hands on as well. We got to practice what we learn. My husband and I also took turns, and learned to communicate and work together as we practiced! Thank you Xing Li.
Eye opening and well detailed session by a very experienced consultant with many years of experience and me and my wife had a very engaging and open communication with Xing Li. A very good opportunity especially for first-time parents to learn about the childbirth process, before during and after. As for the Caring for Newborn class, Abie was very engaging and knowledgeable and I learnt the important newborn practical skills from carrying, burping and bathing the baby especially for fathers! Awesome experience 😊
Baby Riz and I was well taken care of by the friendly staffs there. Baby Riz def enjoyed his time there, experiencing the wide variety of food during BLW class. The ambience for yoga was very calming and soothing, such a good environment to relax. It was nice to meet other mommas and babies too ♡ Snacks and drinks were provided, and very spacious nursing/changing room! Thank you Jiayi and Jacqualine for welcoming us 🫶🏻
Just had my in-room lactation session with Xing Li at Momley Loft — total godsend! Finally figured out why baby wasn’t latching well. With her guidance, baby is calm, comfy and latched beautifully — such a relief! She solved my latching issue on the spot with tips on baby gesture and language I’ll remember forever. I’m also so happy this Momley Loft + Flegan collaboration happened. Thank you for making this happen. Everything just flowed so seamlessly. After the session, I enjoyed a warm lunch and soup, and got to rest, feeling completely at ease knowing baby is in such good hands. Now I’m motivated to wake up for her weekly morning classes at Momley while I’m here 🥰

Confinement nanny packages in Singapore typically range from S$3,500 to S$6,500 for a standard 28-day engagement, with some agencies offering extended 56-day options at a higher total cost. Flegen operates on a package model, but specific pricing was not published at the time of this listing — contact them directly for current rates. When comparing quotes, confirm exactly what is included: overnight care, baby bathing, herbal soup preparation, mother's postpartum meals, and any lactation support. Some agencies bundle these; others charge for food ingredients separately. Ask whether there is a deposit, when the balance falls due, and what the refund policy is if your delivery date shifts. The safe minimum is four to six months before your expected due date. Experienced and well-reviewed nannies are frequently booked six to twelve months in advance, particularly for January and Chinese New Year period deliveries when demand peaks sharply. Once you make contact, you will typically be invited to interview one or more nannies before committing. Use this conversation to discuss food traditions (Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, or other preferences), herbal soup recipes, overnight arrangements, and any specific postpartum or breastfeeding support you need. Agreeing these details in writing before paying a deposit avoids misunderstandings once the nanny arrives. If your first-choice nanny is unavailable, ask about the agency's waitlist process and whether alternative nannies with comparable experience are on offer.
Confinement nanny certification is not uniformly regulated in Singapore, so training standards vary. Some nannies hold certificates from private confinement training programmes covering newborn care, basic breastfeeding support, and postpartum cooking; others rely on years of practical experience. Ask Flegen directly what training background their nannies hold and whether any have additional lactation or newborn care credentials — particularly relevant given the agency's background in lactation services. On the agency side, a replacement policy is a standard expectation: if a genuine mismatch arises — such as a serious communication breakdown or care concern — a reputable agency will offer a replacement nanny within a reasonable window rather than leaving the family without support. Confirm the replacement criteria, timeline, and any cost implications in writing before signing the engagement agreement.
