About Crescent Maids

About Crescent Maids

Crescent Maids is an elderly caregiver service operating islandwide from its office at Guillemard Road, Grandlink Square. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.8/5 rating across 71 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable signal of consistent service quality. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$), though specific hourly or package rates were not available at the time of listing.

Families typically begin by contacting Crescent Maids via phone or the enquiry form to discuss the elder's care needs — mobility level, medical conditions, personal care requirements, and whether companionship or clinical support is the primary need. From there, the conversation covers the number of hours required per day, preferred schedule, and whether a visit-based or live-in arrangement is more appropriate. It is worth clarifying at this stage whether caregivers hold nursing qualifications or dementia-specific training, and what the agency's replacement or backup protocol is if a caregiver is unavailable.

The clearest next step is to call or submit an enquiry form to Crescent Maids with a brief summary of your elder's condition and care hours needed, then request a written care plan and fee schedule before committing.

I first approach colin after going through MOM website to find a reliable agency. He is a responsive and reliable person to get things done. He would first call to get to know whats my criteria and after which he will start looking for candidates. And because i applied during the year end holiday season, there were some delays. But he would update me along the way. Fast forward to today, my indo helper has been with me for almost a year now. All good. Thumbs up for colin.

This is my first time hiring a helper- and a fresh one from Myanmar too. Colin was highly recommended by my fellow friends who had young kids! As a first timer, Colin’s responses were prompt, profiles given to me matched what i was looking for, tips given post interviews were useful and he was present during the interview to support the communication and offer insights too. He is an asset in helping my hubs and I navigate through the hiring process (minimal paperwork fuss) and we felt at ease. 3 weeks in, and i’m surprised at the quality and disposition of my new helper. Colin and his team must have done an excellent job in filtering the candidates and providing adequate training prior to hire. I would not hesitate to engage his services again! :)

I chance upon Crescent Maids through Google search looking urgently for a mandarin speaking helper with elderly care experience for both my folks who need caregiving badly. With good past reviews I decided to give it a try. True to be told, Colin was extremely helpful throughout the entire process of assisting me to get a suitable helper who fits into our criteria just within a day. This has definitely off load my anxiety then as I was indeed worried I might not be able within such a short span of time to get a mandarin speaking helper who could communicate with my folks effectively especially that they're not English speaking. Kudos to the good services rendered from Crescent Maids and truly grateful to Colin that we found a good maid agency who provides good quality helper to our needs. 👍👍🙏🏼🙏🏼😇

Positive and fuss free experience interacting with Colin from Crescent Maids. He was quick to arrange interviews and brought my new helper within my limited time frame. Continued to follow up and provide ongoing support after new helper has started. Thank you Colin :)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Crescent Maids charge?

Specific rates for Crescent Maids were not published at the time of this listing, so contact them directly for a quote. As a general guide, visit-based caregivers in Singapore typically run S$20–35 per hour, with a minimum of three to four hours per visit. Live-in arrangements involve a separate daily or monthly rate plus public holiday surcharges. Agency fees vary by provider and may be charged as a placement fee on top of the caregiver's regular rate. Confirm whether the quoted rate includes levy and insurance obligations for live-in arrangements, or whether those are billed separately. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does Crescent Maids offer?

Crescent Maids lists elderly caregivers as its primary service, but the specific split between live-in and visit-based arrangements was not confirmed in available data — contact them directly to clarify. In general, visit-based care suits elders who are largely independent but need daily personal care, medication reminders, or companionship for a set number of hours. Live-in care is more appropriate where overnight supervision, complex medical needs, or full-time mobility assistance is required. A trial period of one to two weeks is standard practice and allows both the elder and the caregiver to assess compatibility before committing to a longer arrangement. Confirm the replacement policy in case the initial match is not a good fit, and agree the scope of duties, daily schedule, and rate in writing before the caregiver starts.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

Crescent Maids' regulatory licences were not listed at the time of this listing, so families should ask directly about caregiver qualifications — specifically whether caregivers hold a nursing certificate (such as an enrolled nurse qualification), have completed dementia or chronic illness care training, and whether the agency holds AIC or MOH registration for home care services. Insurance is an important consideration: confirm whether Crescent Maids carries coverage for caregiver injury on site and for incidents involving the client during care. For live-in arrangements deployed under Work Permit, the standard FDW personal accident and hospitalisation insurance applies. For locally hired caregivers, ask whether the agency or the family is responsible for public liability and injury coverage. Get the answers in writing before the arrangement begins.
