About DA Clinic Sembawang
DA Clinic Sembawang is a general practice clinic located at Sembawang Shopping Centre, serving residents in the Sembawang and Canberra area. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The Google rating stands at 3.2 out of 5 across 9 reviews — this is a very small sample and should be treated as directional only. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data at this time.
For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. A GP consultation covers acute conditions, chronic disease management, vaccinations, and referrals to specialist outpatient clinics where needed. Singaporeans managing conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme — such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders — may use MediSave 500 or 700 per year for eligible outpatient visits. For onward specialist care, a referral letter from a GP supports access to subsidised Specialist Outpatient Clinic appointments at public hospitals. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether their insurer requires a letter of referral to activate coverage for downstream specialist consultations.

I originally decided not to post as it may be a one-off but will now post a review as the service delivery is indeed poor. First, I had to call multiple times to obtain my health screening report and I am still waiting for the report to be sent by e-mail. I did check my spam, etc but no report in my inbox. Second, the doctor appeared to be inexperienced when drawing blood. This is the first time in my so many years of blood extraction that I encountered severe bruising and the bleeding would not stop till at least 6 mins later. I want to add though that the ladies at the clinic which I visited were polite and helpful, so this may be a problem at their headquarters. Note: The photo posted is 72 hrs after the event so the bruising has subsided somewhat.
2 star for the service staff at the front. However I would not be coming back. I was asked to come back on Monday if my symptoms would not subside. The costs of medicine is too exorbitant for me. I had paid about $85 for medicine alone, not included consultation fee and other subsidy. Usually when I have flu virus, I would rest and take a lot of water or liquid. However I had a high fever and I need to see the doctor urgently. I was told I may suffer from dengue fever but I have no symptoms like mosquito bites. I feel the medicine prescribed is rather generic like paracetamol, zyrtec-d, augmentin...etc. I could easily got this from the pharmacy(except antibiotic), however I want to be sure of any incoming danger. My family doctor from Dr. Kee clinic is located at Holland Drive where I used to reside. His medicine was expensive too! however its not generic medicine in my opinion. And why would I need two type of antibiotic to be taken at the same time! I didn't follow the advice, so I am paying additional $18 for that. Well thank you for service rendered. But no thank you to come back on Monday. This is just my personal opinion based on my experience this evening.
I'm not one to usually leave such reviews but this was certainly an unpleasant experience I encountered. I was sent home from work due to a fever and also experienced a throbbing headache. Intuitively, I relied on my own panadol meds first for relief several times. I found out that it only worked as temporary relief as my fever kept returning every 2 hours even after consuming 4-5 times. With my fluctuating temperatures, I was worried and hoped to find a permanent solution as I anticipated my fever to return since it kept reoccuring till the next morning. So I visited the DA Sembawang branch and ended up receiving nasty remarks from the doctor saying that I was perfectly fine and ignored my explanation on my reoccuring fever. He went on to spew remarks on how the clinic was "not an mc-producing machine" lol. To be completely frank, given that my company was well aware of my condition THAT I HAD TO BE SENT BACK HOME, I was not desperate for an mc. They just wanted me to get checked to MAKE SURE that I was fine. To simply put it, those remarks were truly uncalled for and purely reflect the doctor's unprofessionalism.
Brought family members to visit the clinic on two occasion. Friendly doctor and staff. Short wait, pricing on the slightly higher side. Saw their ads in the clinic for their maid 6ME@$22 which is rather low. Will try out when my maid 6ME is due.
The staff were efficient in responding to my queries and demonstrated their professionism. The doctor was skillful in vaccination, it was quick and painless.

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for DA Clinic Sembawang. Before booking, particularly for ongoing chronic disease management or referrals, verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly. Neither alone is sufficient — both should be in order for a legitimately operating clinic. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient visits at approved GP clinics under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions. The withdrawal limit is S$500 per year for general CDMP outpatient use, rising to S$700 per year for certain conditions. MediSave cannot typically be used for acute GP visits outside CDMP. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient and day-surgery care rather than standard outpatient GP visits, though some riders include GP and specialist consultation benefits — check your policy documents or call your insurer to confirm. CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) blue, orange, and green card holders may be eligible for subsidised consultation and medication fees at participating CHAS GP clinics. Confirm whether DA Clinic Sembawang participates in CDMP, CHAS, and any relevant subsidy schemes directly with the clinic before your visit.
