About Dawson Medical Clinic

About Dawson Medical Clinic

Dawson Medical Clinic is a general practice clinic located at 94A Dawson Road, #01-01, serving the Queenstown and surrounding areas of Singapore. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channel. It holds a 3.7/5 rating across 54 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests a mixed experience among patients, and worth reading in full before booking. No regulatory licence information has been provided in this listing, so prospective patients are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before attending.

For a first visit to a GP clinic, you can attend as a walk-in or call ahead to check waiting times. Bring your NRIC or passport, your medication history if relevant, and any existing referral letters. If you are managing a chronic condition such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia, ask whether the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment of listed conditions. For subsidised specialist follow-up, a GP referral letter to a public hospital SOC is the standard pathway and typically results in a lower consultation fee than a direct private specialist walk-in.

To book an appointment or check current waiting times, contact Dawson Medical Clinic directly by phone at the number listed on this page.

Not the first time visiting 94 Dawson Clinic but had the first time and worst experience with Dr. Ang Wei Chan. Waited almost 2 hours for him and all he did was a 2 min consultation. I had fever but he never even want to test my temperature again during consultation. At first he didn’t even want to listen to my lungs and check…when listening to my lungs it wasn’t thorough. I was shock that I wasn’t even given paracetamol for my fever. I rather self medicate than visit this doctor again. Doc Alycia is 10 times so much better than him..

Dr Fang is one of the best GPs I have seen. She has incredible bedside manners and is always warm to all the patients. This makes up for the other shortcomings like longer wait time or high turnover of counter staff.

Less than 5mins for consultation but need wait for wait 2 hr 🙄. only ask doctor to see can remove the clavus 🐛or cannot. Before that I went other clinic, they didn’t do for remove. At least I know this clinic has do, only need doctor to have a look. If can remove I will rearrange other days, consultation fee can charged, as I do the consultation. The staff there said, they asked doctor, doctor say still need to wait, must fair to other patient. From there’s I can’t see other patient, mostly the rest patient will take number back home first then come back again. I understand all patients got the queue number, but I can wait some patient will be 5-10 minutes late,at least I no need to wait until 2hr. If I waited for 2 hours and the doctor say need to reschedule, then I really waste me time to do for nothing, staff asking or rearrange other days? Who wil be happy come back again. I’m very disappointed with this clinic as is my first time 😞😞😞 I went and other clinic same as need wait 2 hour, but they allowed me to see doctor if some patients late 5-10mins.I will really appreciate it they understand me concern and save my time too.

Both Dr. Alycia and Dr. Loo are very empathetic, kind and patient doctors to my kids and me. They always take time to share helpful advices with a smile. The reception staff may not be the friendliest, but they’re very efficient — our visits usually take less than 30 minutes. Hope they can smile more. Ms Jamie is very good though in remembering patients keep it up!

Dr Alycia is very kind and has good skills. The receptionists though need to be sent for customer service trainings. I asked if there’s corporate insurance she said too late you alr saw the doctor?? Like it’s my fault for not asking. The last time I went a few months ago I was told you don’t take insurance. Then I said can you help to check she said I need to check then proceeded to pass me the machine to pay LOL without doing anything. I get being at the desk is not a fun job and you don’t have to be smiley all but at least communicate properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dawson Medical Clinic charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations such as blood panels (S$60–200), throat or wound swabs, and prescribed medications. GST applies to private medical services. For CHAS cardholders (Community Health Assist Scheme), GP clinics that are CHAS-accredited offer subsidised consultation fees — Orange card holders pay S$12.50–21.50 and Blue card holders pay S$3.50–14.50 depending on condition type. Confirm with Dawson Medical Clinic directly whether it is a CHAS-accredited clinic and what your out-of-pocket cost will be before consulting. For any planned procedure or referral, request a written breakdown that separates MediSave-claimable items, insurance-billable components, and direct out-of-pocket costs. Is Dawson Medical Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licence details have been provided in this listing. Every legitimate GP clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — you can verify this on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before attending. Neither alone is sufficient. If the clinic participates in MediShield Life or the CDMP, it will also be listed on the relevant MOH scheme directories, which serves as an additional verification point.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dawson Medical Clinic?

MediSave can be used for outpatient GP visits under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), allowing withdrawals of up to S$500 per year for general outpatient treatment and up to S$700 per year for CDMP-listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, stroke follow-up, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-accredited provider before your visit. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient and day-surgery costs rather than routine GP consultations, though some plans include outpatient riders — check your policy schedule. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session so that the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions are confirmed in writing before proceeding.
