About Dental Concept
Dental Concept is a dental practice located in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, close to the Singapore–Johor border and accessible to Singaporeans seeking cross-border dental care. It holds a 4.2-star rating across 40 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range tier based on the available display indicator; specific fee schedules were not provided and should be confirmed directly with the practice.
Patients typically begin by contacting Dental Concept via phone or the online enquiry form to describe their presenting concern — whether a routine check-up and cleaning, fillings, extractions, crown or bridge work, orthodontic assessment, or other treatment — and to arrange an appointment slot. As the practice is based in Malaysia, Singaporean patients should account for travel time across the Causeway or Second Link, and confirm whether their insurance or corporate dental benefits extend to treatment received in Johor Bahru. On the first visit, the dentist will carry out an examination, discuss findings, and outline a treatment plan with associated costs before any procedure begins.
To book an appointment, contact Dental Concept directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing, and confirm the consultation fee, treatment scope, and payment options ahead of your visit.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the Malaysian Dental Council's public register before treatment.
Did my scaling and polishing here for the first time for RM200. Dr was very thorough and was generous in applying the numbing cream at the onset so the entire process was painless. Kudos!
I am very grateful to Dr. Patrick and his skillful methods. My family and I have been pleased with your professional, yet personable, service. This is the greatest dentist I've ever visited. The staff are very kind and caring. It's really comfy. Dr. Patrick is very patient and detailed while outlining the necessary dental treatment. It was absolutely a fantastic dental experience! I highly suggest visiting the dental concept, you will not regret.
Dentist over there -- Dr Patrick has wonderful filling skills. He made tooth restorations much detailed than other dentists. He is friendly & willing to explain. Love the environment over there! It's cozy & comfortable. Looking different from other dental clinics. Staffs are friendly and approachable. They will follow up patients' conditions after major treatment procedures which I think is pretty important & essential.

Dental Concept's pricing is indicated as mid-range, but specific fee schedules were not available at the time of this listing. As a general reference, dental consultations in Johor Bahru typically run lower than in Singapore, with basic check-ups and cleaning often in the RM 80–150 range, fillings RM 80–200, extractions RM 80–300, and crowns RM 600–1,500 depending on material and complexity. Singaporean patients should also factor in travel costs, currency conversion (Malaysian Ringgit), and whether their Medisave or corporate dental insurance covers treatment received overseas — most plans do not extend to Malaysia. Confirm the full fee for your planned treatment at the time of booking, and ask whether a written estimate is provided before procedures begin. See the full dental cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is required for a general dental consultation at Dental Concept. Patients can book directly by phone or through the enquiry form. On the first visit, the dentist will conduct an examination — which may include X-rays depending on your presenting concern — and discuss findings before recommending a treatment plan. For more complex work such as implants, orthodontics, or oral surgery, an initial assessment visit is typically required before any procedure is scheduled. Patients with specific medical conditions (bleeding disorders, heart conditions, diabetes, or current medications) should inform the clinic at the time of booking, as some treatments may require medical clearance or adjusted protocols.
Dental Concept is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and falls under Malaysian regulatory jurisdiction. Dentists practising in Malaysia must be registered with the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC) under the Dental Act 1971 — this is the equivalent of Singapore's Singapore Dental Council (SDC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. No Malaysian regulatory licences were listed in the provider's KakiList profile at the time of publication. Before booking, patients are advised to confirm the name of the treating dentist and verify their registration on the Malaysian Dental Council's public register. The practice is KakiList verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed, but regulatory credentials should be independently checked.
