This is a very late review which I'm apologetic about as life has been so hectic. It has been on my mind on and off over the year and I even just celebrated my first wedding anniversary recently so I finally decided to dig out my photos and do a solid review for this ultra sweet lady, Pei Yee at Digio Bridal (I hope you're still here and that this review is still helpful to you though a "tad" late.) 🥲 Pei Yee was very patient, knowledgable and helpful! She was the one that helped me with my selection of gowns for both my pre-wed shoot and actual day. She's really good at sensing how a bride-to-be feels and never fails to give me the confidence and assurance. I personally found it stressful to choose gowns because there were just so many choices and you know, opinions from others but she would be able to tell which one I actually liked most and I'm thankful I went for it. She would encourage me to try on a few more dresses if I'm unsure. There have been an occasion when another lady served me and she would not initiate new gowns for me to try and would tell me that the ones I've tried are already good. So, I think the experience really changes a lot depending who is helping you on this wedding gown selection journey! When she knew that I had to do my own hair and makeup for my pre-wed shoot, she even went the extra mile to teach me some tricks on what I can do as I was super clueless. Super grateful for that if not my pre-wed shoot would have turned out very different hahaha. As for the actual day, she was my makeup artist as well. I had some issues with my eye. It was my first time having falsies and my eyes just couldn't take it. In fact, I even felt like I wanted to black out. So, we improvised and I actually had to sit on the sofa at an angle and Pei Yee had to like sort of 'kneel/squat" on the sofa to help me do my falsies one strand at a time. I don't quite know how to describe this but haha it was a lot of effort by her when she totally didn't have to. For my touch-up, she also had to do it in an unusual setting. It was very dark without a suitable table so I remember I had to help hold either the light/mirror while she did my make-up. It was definitely a day with a one of a kind make up experience for both of us 😂 All in all, Pei Yee was such a lovely person and she felt more like a bridesmaid to me than just someone picking a gown with you. I rented my wedding gowns from Digio and was impressed by their wide selection across three levels. They carry a huge range of styles, which is great for brides with different preferences. On my wedding day, the inner straps of my gown broke. I texted the group chat and a staff member immediately called me, offering to come down and fix it. Even though my wedding was already over by then, I really appreciated that gesture as it showed genuine care. My first fitting experience, however, wasn’t ideal. As a first-time bride, I already had an idea of what suited me. But Kris kept pushing me to try styles I wasn’t interested in, repeating “you never try, you don’t know.” With only five gowns allowed that session, it felt more pressurising than supportive. Some of my questions were also met with dismissive replies, which made me hesitant to speak up further. For a studio with premium pricing, I had hoped for a more reassuring experience. Thankfully, my later fittings with Bai Wei were completely different. She was warm, approachable, and never made me feel like my questions were silly. Her professionalism gave me confidence and made the whole process enjoyable. I hope all brides get to experience the same level of care and professionalism that Bai Wei provided.
