On 18th March I visited Dr Wong’s clinic to get my annual medical review done. He was thorough and detailed on my medical history, the surgeries I had and when, my current medications, among others. We went into a discussion of my specific concerns, the options available, which combination of options might best suit me. He didn’t prescribe. He described. When all the test results came back, he explained the test results with me in detail, including adjustments to my medications. I have seen many GPs in my life. Dr Wong is among the handful that is patient, unhurried, and ever willing to explain thoroughly. Thank you, Dr Wong.

Dr Wong is the BEST. He can always figure out whats wrong and always gives the best advise. Altough parking is a bit limited and if you go at the wrong time, waiting times can be long but its worth it.

Very experienced doctor. My go-to-doctor for my whole family. Especially for my son who has very acute Eczema. Better than our supposedly skin specialist whom we were recommended. Also very good with a chronic cough which bugged me for the longest time. Highly recommended

Came here for the second covid booster shot. A lady at the clinic (didn’t manage to get her name) kindly provided details about the availability of the bivalent vaccine and was really understanding when I decided to change my appointment, though they had already registered me. Thank you and sorry for the trouble..

This is prob the worst clinic I've ever visited. I was sent here to do my covid swab from another nearby clinic. Despite being on SHN,they advised me to have lunch nearby since the wait would be long. When I clarified the terms of SHN,the staff said "by right cannot, but you can still go". In the end I went home first and they told me to come back at 2pm. When I arrived at 2pm,they said I was the first patient in the queue, but I still have to wait because the dr isn't in yet. I waited till 2.45pm and the dr was still not back from lunch! They moved me to the covid tent at the back of the clinic, where there was no ventilation and a lot of exhaust from neighbouring shops. Really terrible service. I was alr sick and not feeling well, but still made to wait while the dr took their long leisurely lunch and the clinic staff couldn't even give me a proper place to wait.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does District Family Clinics charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically cost S$25–60, with follow-up visits generally at the lower end. Common add-ons include blood tests (S$60–200 depending on the panel), urine tests, throat or nasal swabs, and prescribed medications — these are billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask for a written estimate that breaks down the consultation, investigation, and medication costs so you can identify which portions are claimable under MediSave or your Integrated Shield Plan. District Family Clinics uses a per-visit billing model. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is District Family Clinics MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history by searching the doctor's name. No licence information has been submitted for this listing at this time. Before booking, particularly for ongoing chronic disease management or any investigation, we recommend searching the clinic name on the MOH licensee directory and confirming the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register. Both steps take under two minutes and are the baseline verification for any private medical provider in Singapore.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at District Family Clinics?

MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, stroke, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year. General outpatient withdrawals outside CDMP are capped at S$500 per year and apply to a narrower set of services — confirm eligibility at the clinic counter before assuming MediSave will apply. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and some day-surgery costs, but outpatient GP coverage depends on whether your plan includes an outpatient rider. Check your policy documents or call your insurer before the visit. For any investigation or referral, ask the clinic for a written breakdown of costs so you can identify what is claimable versus out-of-pocket.
