About Doctor Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh Central
Doctor Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh Central is a general practice clinic located at 178 Toa Payoh Central, serving residents across the Toa Payoh area and beyond. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channels. It holds a 4.2/5 rating across 96 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonably reliable indication of patient experience. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration details have been provided in the listing data, so prospective patients should confirm these directly with the clinic before booking.
For a first visit, you can reach the clinic by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm consultation hours, same-day availability, and whether your condition requires a GP referral to a specialist or a polyclinic letter for a subsidised Specialist Outpatient Clinic appointment. If you are managing a chronic condition such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia, ask whether the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for eligible outpatient treatment. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm whether the clinic issues referral letters that support downstream insurance claims at restructured hospitals or private specialist centres.
To book an appointment, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry through the contact form on the listing — same-day slots for GP consultations are typically available walk-in or with a short waiting time, though calling ahead reduces wait.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I’m really thankful to the doctors and staff, for being very accommodating and patient with my demands. BUT especially to Ms HUI FEN, she’s been answering all my questions since 2023. I hope she get a raise. She’s one in a million.
Unreliable clinic. Don’t trust their stated operating hours. I reached at 1220pm on a Saturday but clinic is already closed, when it’s supposed to be closing at 1pm. No wonder unihealth just beside it is forever full although the queue is long.
Dr Loy is the best! Super friendly & very knowledgeable. Takes his time to explain to you n google for you to understand more about the illness. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We have been with them for 10 years.
Dr loy has a cheerful demeanor and greets sincerely whenever any patient enters the room. He is understanding, patient and cares for patients. For example , if the art test may be too much for you to bear , he won't show signs of impatience. He has a good rapport with the reception staff . Dr kuan looks like the more serious type. Doesn't greet patients cheerfully when they enter room . Straight to the point. No complaints with different personalities. Maybe he is the talk less , do more type. Overall , staff here have been professional.
Friendly staff and can think out of the box, most importantly - values your life like what a doctor and clinic is for! Was at Unihealth as Doc Inc was closed. Staff unwilling to process my visit as I had left my Company insurance card at home, though they had my records, and despite having fever and feeling soooo sick. Checked with Doc Inc to clarify about registration process and was told that there are other ways to verify the patient to see the doctor. Conclusion - thank you Doc Inc for doing the right thing and what a health practioner should do - putting a person's health and comfort as the priority, not the piece of plastic.

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up reviews slightly lower. On top of the consultation, common add-ons include investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine tests, X-rays (S$80–150), and vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose). Prescriptions are billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. For Singapore Citizens and PRs managing chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, MediSave can be used to offset outpatient bills up to S$700 per year. CHAS cardholders may also be eligible for subsidised consultation fees — confirm with the clinic whether they are a CHAS-participating GP. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask for a written cost estimate that splits MediSave, insurance, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, and every practising doctor is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg. No licence details have been provided in this listing, so patients should ask the clinic directly for their MOH licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration number before booking. You can search the SMC register by the doctor's name to confirm registration status and any specialist accreditation. For surgical or specialist referrals, look for a Royal College or Academy of Medicine Singapore fellowship (FRCS or FAMS) as an additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used at GP clinics participating in the Chronic Disease Management Programme for outpatient treatment of listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year per patient. For general GP visits not under CDMP, MediSave withdrawal is limited to S$500 per year under the outpatient MediSave scheme — confirm with the clinic whether they are an approved withdrawal clinic. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery at private hospitals and restructured hospitals, but GP consultations are typically out-of-pocket unless your rider includes outpatient cover. If you anticipate a specialist referral or a planned procedure, request a pre-treatment financial counselling session — most private clinics will provide an itemised estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket costs. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
