About Doctors Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh
Doctors Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh is a general practice clinic located at 178 Toa Payoh Central, serving patients across Singapore. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4.2-star rating across 96 Google reviews, which represents a moderate sample size and provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. No regulatory licence details have been provided in this listing, so patients are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly.
For a first visit, patients typically contact the clinic by phone or via the online enquiry form to confirm opening hours, queue availability, and whether the consultation falls under CHAS, MediShield Life, or an Integrated Shield Plan. GP consultations cover acute illness, chronic disease follow-up under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), minor injuries, prescriptions, and referral letters to public hospital specialist outpatient clinics. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient conditions under the S$500 or S$700 CDMP withdrawal limits. Patients on an Integrated Shield Plan should check whether their insurer requires pre-authorisation for any planned investigations.
To get started, call the clinic or submit the enquiry form to confirm current consultation hours and available appointment slots before making your way to Toa Payoh Central.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I’m really thankful to the doctors and staff, for being very accommodating and patient with my demands. BUT especially to Ms HUI FEN, she’s been answering all my questions since 2023. I hope she get a raise. She’s one in a million.
Unreliable clinic. Don’t trust their stated operating hours. I reached at 1220pm on a Saturday but clinic is already closed, when it’s supposed to be closing at 1pm. No wonder unihealth just beside it is forever full although the queue is long.
Dr Loy is the best! Super friendly & very knowledgeable. Takes his time to explain to you n google for you to understand more about the illness. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We have been with them for 10 years.
Dr loy has a cheerful demeanor and greets sincerely whenever any patient enters the room. He is understanding, patient and cares for patients. For example , if the art test may be too much for you to bear , he won't show signs of impatience. He has a good rapport with the reception staff . Dr kuan looks like the more serious type. Doesn't greet patients cheerfully when they enter room . Straight to the point. No complaints with different personalities. Maybe he is the talk less , do more type. Overall , staff here have been professional.
Friendly staff and can think out of the box, most importantly - values your life like what a doctor and clinic is for! Was at Unihealth as Doc Inc was closed. Staff unwilling to process my visit as I had left my Company insurance card at home, though they had my records, and despite having fever and feeling soooo sick. Checked with Doc Inc to clarify about registration process and was told that there are other ways to verify the patient to see the doctor. Conclusion - thank you Doc Inc for doing the right thing and what a health practioner should do - putting a person's health and comfort as the priority, not the piece of plastic.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, depending on the complexity of the visit and any investigations or medications prescribed. Common add-ons billed separately include blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), and prescriptions. GST applies on private medical services. Patients holding CHAS cards (Blue, Orange, or Chas Plus) may be eligible for subsidised consultation fees at participating GP clinics. MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — up to S$500 or S$700 per year depending on the conditions covered. Confirm whether Doctors Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh participates in CHAS and CDMP before your visit. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must be listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. No licence details have been provided in this listing, so patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration before their appointment. For GP consultations, basic SMC registration is the key credential. If the clinic offers specialist referrals or in-house specialist services, check that the relevant doctor holds the appropriate specialist accreditation on the SMC register. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's registration alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, but are less commonly invoked for standard GP visits. For GP consultations, the more relevant scheme is the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500 per year (S$700 for specific conditions) for listed chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, stroke follow-up, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm whether Doctors Inc Medical Group Toa Payoh is a CDMP-accredited clinic before assuming MediSave can be used. For any planned investigations or procedures, request a written financial counselling estimate in advance that clearly itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket amounts. If your Integrated Shield Plan requires pre-authorisation or a Letter of Guarantee for a procedure, obtain this before treatment to avoid claim disputes after the fact. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
