About DP Dental
DP Dental is a dental clinic located at Katong Point on Joo Chiat Road, serving patients across Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.7-star rating across 137 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides a reliable signal of patient experience.
Patients typically begin by contacting DP Dental by phone or via the enquiry form to book a first consultation, during which the dentist will assess your presenting concern — whether a routine check-up and scale-and-polish, tooth pain, orthodontic interest, or cosmetic treatment. It is worth confirming the scope of any recommended treatment plan, estimated costs, and whether your dental insurer is accepted before the appointment. Ask specifically about the range of services available at this outlet and the experience of the treating dentist in your area of interest.
To make an appointment, call DP Dental directly or submit an enquiry through their contact form. Bring your insurance card if applicable, and request a written treatment plan with itemised fees before any procedure begins.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
We had a wonderful experience with Dr Dan. He was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with my child, which made a huge difference as my little one was quite anxious at first. Dr Dan took the time to explain every step of the check-up and cleaning process in a calm and reassuring way, helping my child feel comfortable, safe, and at ease. I really appreciated how thorough and detailed he was, while still being very gentle and attentive. He didn’t rush the appointment and made sure both my child and I understood everything clearly. The level of care, professionalism, and service was truly exceptional. Highly recommend Dr Dan, especially for parents looking for a dentist who is fantastic with kids!
Overall a really good experience. Booking process and discussion through WhatsApp was smooth and easy, when we got there we were warmly welcome and they even had a small play area which our 1 year old enjoyed. Dr Dan was extremely professional and friendly. The check up was extremely comprehensive with very clear guidance on what to lookout for to maintain good oral hygiene. The price might be a little steep compared to most other clinics but I feel the value you get is justifiable. We’ll be back!
I've always had a fear of dentists growing up because my experience has been that the dentist scolds you and your whole mouth hurts. I'm thankful to have found DP Dental where it's not like that at all! Dr Dan took the time to learn about my dental history and health, and explain to me lots of things that I didn't know before that affected not only my oral health but also things like breathing and sleep. The price was steep but for such gentle and comprehensive services, I would go back again. Thank you Dr Dan, Ms YY and Ms Laura!
My first visits there went great, until the last descaling I had made my gum bleed for a week (first time it ever happened to me, I found this dentist quite brutal compared with my previous experiences). I have also been waiting for my X-rays for weeks, despite multiple chase ups. Quite disappointing because everything started great!
Dr Yao is really patient and good with kids. She takes time to explain to us how to take care of our children’s teeth and is generous to share various tips with us. We have been seeing her for my boy’s teeth since he was 1 years old and will definitely continue to visit her for his dental needs. Highly recommend for anybody who is looking for a trustworthy dentist for their children!

Dental fees in Singapore vary considerably by treatment type. A routine consultation and examination typically runs S$30–80, a scale-and-polish S$80–150, tooth extraction S$80–300 (simple) to S$600–1,200 (surgical wisdom tooth), and dental fillings S$80–250 per tooth depending on material. Crowns, implants, and orthodontic treatment run significantly higher — implants commonly S$3,500–6,000 per tooth, and braces or Invisalign S$3,500–9,000 for a full course. GST applies on all dental procedures. DP Dental uses the S$$ pricing tier, suggesting mid-range positioning. Confirm the full fee for your specific treatment plan, including any X-ray or diagnostic charges, before proceeding. See the full dental cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is required to book a first appointment at a private dental clinic. New patients typically complete a short intake form covering medical history, current medications, and allergies — certain conditions (blood thinners, bisphosphonates, heart conditions) can affect treatment options and should be disclosed upfront. For complex treatments such as implants, orthodontics, or oral surgery, the dentist may take full-mouth X-rays or a CBCT scan at the first visit before presenting a treatment plan. If you intend to claim against a corporate dental plan or integrated shield plan with a dental rider, confirm the insurer's panel and pre-authorisation requirements before the appointment. Some procedures require prior approval for reimbursement.
In Singapore, all practising dentists must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC), which operates under the Ministry of Health. You can verify a dentist's registration on the SDC's public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. Dental clinics must also hold an MOH clinic licence under the Healthcare Services Act. Specialists in areas such as orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, or prosthodontics carry an additional specialist registration — confirm this directly with the clinic if you are seeking specialist care. No regulatory licences are listed for DP Dental on this KakiList profile. Confirm the named dentist's SDC registration and the clinic's MOH licence directly before booking. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
