Exceptional care from Dr. Pearce and the fantastic team at Altius Clinic! I had surgery here twice in one year and couldn't be happier. The first was for a troublesome Hallux Rigidus—the surgery was expertly done, healed exactly to the prognosis, and got me back to playing sports quickly. The second was an emergency after a dog bite left my arm inflamed and A&E advised an urgent surgical washout. I was half-terrified, but the moment I called Altius, they took over. Within minutes they arranged for me to come in, and an hour later I was booked for surgery the following morning. The communication is fantastic, and you always feel like you are in incredibly competent hands. I'm so happy with my recovery that I almost miss going there! Highly recommended.

Dr. Christopher Pearce did an amazing job repairing my ruptured Achilles tendon injury that had been untreated for nearly six months. He provided easily understood explanations of my options and considerations (recovery and potential risks). Six months later post-ops (and physio), I'm nearly back to normal (walking miles, swimming, strength training, yoga). His staff of nurses is also lovely and helpful! Highly recommend Altius Clinic!

Here is the English translation: I consulted Dr. Pearce on the recommendation of my general practitioner. An old injury to my ankle joint and ligaments (which I had not been aware of until the MRI images) was diagnosed immediately, and all possible treatment options were discussed openly. The surgery was successful, and most importantly, Dr. Pearce’s predictions regarding the healing process have proven to be almost 100% accurate. At every stage and with every question, the practice team was always available to me with exceptional friendliness.

I had an appointment at 11:30am with Dr Chris and arrived on time, registered, and waited. After sitting there for quite a while, I was then informed that the doctor was still reviewing the previous patient’s X-ray as she had “just returned.” When I asked for clarification, I received only a vague explanation with no clear update on how long the delay would be. If the clinic knew there would be a delay, they should have informed patients promptly or adjusted the schedule, instead of letting people wait without communication. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of respect for patients’ time and poor service management.

True professionals, experts and approachable, I knew I was in great hands when I met Dr Gavin. I had an ACL reconstruction surgery after a skiing accident in Japan, full rupture of my left ACL. He was very clear on my options, spent time to answer my questions, and importantly gave me the opportunity to make my own decisions. Especially since I come from a family of medical professionals. I was very fortunate, was out and about within two weeks post-op (even went to Taylor Swift’s concert 😅) and with minimal scarring. It has been almost 9 months since my surgery, my recovery has been incredibly smooth, with regular physio sessions too. Shoutout also to the staff at Altius clinic who were incredibly competent, efficient, checked-in regularly with me and friendly. Highly recommend Altius Clinic, worthwhile visit especially if you need a second opinion.
