When I provided my first name, she responded with, “That’s all?” as if I owed her more, which was quite unnecessary. I then gave my last name, but the tone throughout felt rude and unprofessional. I understand that phone lines can be busy, but a little courtesy goes a long way. As someone who has worked in customer service, I hope the receptionist can receive proper training on handling calls politely and respectfully. Patient communication over the phone is essential, and this interaction fell short of that standard.
