About Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre

About Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre

Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre is a paediatric specialist practice based at Mount Alvernia Hospital's St Anne Mother & Child Centre on Thomson Road, serving families across Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The practice holds a 5/5 rating across 29 Google reviews, which represents a moderate sample size and should be read as encouraging but not conclusive.

Families typically begin by contacting the centre via phone or the online enquiry form to arrange a first specialist consultation. Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit, with follow-up reviews at S$80–180; parents who hold a polyclinic or GP referral letter may wish to confirm whether this affects the billing pathway. The clinical scope spans paediatric medicine and neuroscience, meaning the practice is suited to children presenting with developmental concerns, neurological conditions, or general paediatric needs. The consulting doctor's SMC registration and specialist accreditation should be confirmed on the Singapore Medical Council public register before booking. For planned investigations or procedures — blood panels, neuroimaging, or EEGs — request a written financial counselling estimate at the clinic so that the insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions are clear before treatment begins.

To arrange an appointment, contact Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre directly by phone or through the enquiry form on the listing, and bring any existing investigation results, vaccination records, and your child's developmental history to the first consultation.

Dr. Yeo took exceptional care of my son Maximilian during his hospital stay for a severe migraine attack. From the very beginning, his calm, kind, and compassionate manner reassured us during an incredibly stressful time. He explained everything clearly and made sure we felt supported throughout. Beyond his medical care, Dr. Yeo went above and beyond by helping us navigate insurance difficulties, which we truly appreciated. A very special thank you to Abigail, who did so much for us during this time including our insurance problems. Her attentiveness, warmth, and dedication truly stood out, and we greatly appreciated her support . We are also grateful to the entire team for their professionalism and genuine care. We , especially my son Max felt in safe and capable hands at all times. We are deeply thankful and would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yeo and his team.

We are very grateful to Dr Yeo Tong Hong at the Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre. He patiently listened to our concerns and, most importantly, made my daughter feel safe and at ease throughout the consultation. He was very thorough with the tests and took the time to help me understand clearly what was going on, which gave us a lot of reassurance. A special thank you as well to Febi — she’s such a darling. She remembered my daughter and made her feel like she truly mattered. That personal touch meant a lot to us. Highly recommended.

Only positive things to say about Dr Yeo and his wonderful team, Abigail and Feby. They are incredibly accommodating and always do their best to slot us in for appointments, even at the very last minute, sometimes going beyond their opening hours. Dr Yeo is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring, always taking the time to explain things clearly and ensure we feel comfortable and well taken care of. We are very grateful for the excellent care they provide.

Dr Yeo has been treating my son for the past 4 years for severe Tourette Syndrome. I had previously consulted with 4 other doctors (neurologists and psychiatrists) and had exhausted all medical drugs available to them before I found Dr Yeo. Dr Yeo through his expert medical knowledge and guidance, was able to bring my son from being bedridden and in constant pain to now a healthy, happy functioning teenager. Dr Yeo balances experience and expertise with genuine warmth, kindness, gentleness, empathy and approachability. I cannot thank and recommend Dr Yeo enough for helping my son and me.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre charge?

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-up reviews. Families who arrive via a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital's Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) pay S$30–80 after subsidy for Singapore Citizens, though waiting times for non-urgent SOC appointments can run four to twelve weeks; Mount Alvernia Hospital is a private facility, so the direct private rate is the relevant benchmark here. Investigations billed on top of the consultation fee commonly include blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), ultrasound (S$150–400), and neuroimaging such as CT or MRI (S$400–1,800). Prescriptions and follow-up reviews are billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave withdrawal, and out-of-pocket portion before committing. Is Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate private clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory by clinic name and address. No licence appears in this listing's data, so parents are advised to confirm the clinic licence directly with the centre or via the MOH directory before booking. Every practising doctor in Singapore is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm current registration status, specialist accreditation (in this case, Paediatric Medicine or Paediatric Neurology), and any disciplinary history. For neuroscience-related consultations, also ask whether the consulting doctor holds a fellowship with the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in the relevant specialism, as this signals completion of formal subspecialty training beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before attending.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, request a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient use, S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed chronic conditions including selected childhood neurological and developmental conditions. For children under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP), confirm whether the clinic administers NIP vaccinations and whether these are claimable under MediSave or covered by your IP. For any planned investigation or procedure, request a written financial counselling session at the clinic — the estimate should clearly separate the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and remaining out-of-pocket amount. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill.
