Huge thanks to Dr Lee. A one of a kind doctor. I came in with unbearable pain in my neck for weeks that slowly paralyzes my left arm. Dr Lee quickly diagnosed it with 4 compressed disks in my neck. After surgery and months of treatments, I am finally able to use my arm again and be free of pain. Truly thankful.
When I was 26 years old in 2007, I have been suffering with low back pain. I consulted to a few specialists and doctors in Singapore from 2010-2020. I did spine MRI in 2010 and another full spine MRI in 2020. I thought I can get an answer of the cause of my backache. Nothing. Until recently, this doctor from this clinic tested my both legs strength and said they are not strong enough & also asked a couple of questions (which all previous doctors did the same except they didn’t mention about legs strength). He said he “suspects” it was tethered cord syndrome. He then shown me a book of this topic and some printed notes then asked me to take photos of those. Dr then explained what tethered cord syndrome is and how surgery can be done. Ask me to go back and do my own research. I brought my MRI scan, surprisingly he didn’t look into my MRI reports but he only briefly browsed through the imaging CD that I have. Amidst the consultation session, the doctor conveniently answered to his phone call. I tried to ask is there any scan or test I can do just to double confirm do I have the issue he suspected. And he said no, he then gave me a stack of his testimonials of how successful of his diagnosis and surgery from other patients. He then rushing to send me out and looking to see another patient. I did some research and read the testimonials; some patients mention tethered syndrome can be tested (even Google told me best way is through MRI). But the doctor told me cannot be tested. I have not encountered bad accidents or injuries before, I am keen to find out why is the pain constant I need an assertive answer before considering taking up an operation. I emailed the specialist again to clarify a few more things after my study, the clinic asks to make ANOTHER appointment for more questions. Charges incurred of course. I also noticed this issue seems only happen for kids through Google & Youtube but I only had the issue when I was an adult. After that, I make a visit to my family doctor and show him my MRI report & mentioned about tethered cord syndrome I was told, he said the MRI not showing my full lumbar spine. It was not enough information to tell that I have tethered syndrome. So, I did another MRI specifically on lumbar part. What if I just accepted the advice from this clinic and believe in his speculation without any further test and scan, and after the surgery my problem still don’t fix? The reason we seek for doctors because we need their help from their knowledge and experience, and most importantly their advice of what to do next, but I don’t get anything useful all these years IN SINGAPORE in different hospitals and specialist clinics and I am still in pain. How easy to make money in Singapore as professional medical persons and this clinic is the most commercialise one that I have visited.
Back in August 2023, I started experiencing severe lower back pain and a pulling sensation down the back of my left leg. On top of that, I had trouble urinating — it felt like I had to strain really hard, almost like constipation, just to pee. It was a very difficult and worrying time. I went to see Dr. Timothy Lee at the Brain and Spine Clinic at Gleneagles, and it was truly a blessing. After a thorough evaluation, he advised me to undergo a procedure called lumbar laminotomy with rhizolysis to address the bladder and urine issues urgently. I trusted his expertise and decided to go ahead with the surgery. Thanks to Dr. Timothy, the surgery was a success. My bladder and urination problems were resolved almost immediately after. The recovery process went smoothly with his careful follow-ups, and today, I no longer have back pain. I am genuinely grateful for his care and professionalism. Meeting Dr. Timothy two years ago changed my life, and I sincerely hope anyone going through similar issues reads this and considers seeing him. He helped me, and I believe he can help you too.
My family and I are very grateful to Dr. Timothy Lee for saving my father’s life after he had a bad fall which required urgent operation and left him in the ICU for several weeks. Thanks to Dr. Lee’s treatment, my Father’s condition has improved significantly and is now able to return to work. Dr. Lee is certainly the best in his field. His kindness and patience towards all his patients is something we have experienced first hand.
