I brought my elderly mum to level 17 nuh eye clinic on 3 Mar 2026. We reached 0850 hour per appt time. Left the clinic at 1515 hour. This is highly inefficient. The psa also very rude to my daughter when my mum and my daughter trying to register and there was a question prompted on the screen asking whether my mum got medisave, both my daughter (first year poly) and my mum not very sure and like took sometime to answer the psa. So PSA just told them, :"don't waste my time just put 'others'." I believe my daughter wouldn't lied, I trained all my kids to be very honest. Nuh waiting time is worst the normal poly clinic. During lunch hour they can at the pre admission counselling room (2 such rooms), one room can just shut and go for lunch leaving all patients waiting for their turn. Only 1 room is still operating. Overall experience was very bad, worst than stuck in AYE traffic jam.
Dr Vivien Lim at NUH is a very professional, careful, and reassuring surgeon. She explained my condition clearly, recommended the safest lens option for my eyes, and provided excellent care throughout my cataract surgeries and follow-ups. Recovery has been smooth and well monitored. Highly recommended.
A few years back, I accompanied my dad to have an eye check because of blurred vision, as referred from our neighbourhood polyclinic. After that visit here, we were already telling ourselves that we will NEVER come back again due to poor service, long waiting time, and rude staff who had no regard for their patients. The time has come again. This time, I had to accompany my uncle to the same eye clinic over here again. No choice, since it is a clinic subsidised by the government and we can’t afford the better ends. I dreaded myself and really crossed my fingers hoping that my experience here will improve. But heck, I was delusional to even hope for that. Our appointment was at 12pm. We reached on time. We registered for our queue number and waited at the seating area. 45 minutes have passed, and I decided to ask if our turn will be next soon. The registration counter staff did not greet me but just immediately blurred “oh you need to give me this slip number la”. How would I have known, that we needed to pass our queue number to her?… I have taken pictures around the registration counter and NOTHING said that we have to do that (look at the attached pictures). After around 30 minutes, we got called in, to do a vision acuity test. Everything was okay, except that I overheard 2 staff at room D02 gossiped about the previous patient that they served. Gosh, I found it super unprofessional and I couldn’t help but kinda glared at them, and they stopped. I am now waiting at Room C04 for consultation, for close to 30 minutes already and waiting game is still as strong. I would not be surprised if I have to add on another disappointing matter after the consultation. Can something be done about this? Please? Just take a look at other reviews too.
Had an unpleasant experience at NUH Eye Clinic Pharmacy. One of the staff members responded rudely when I asked about my medication, and the registration process was disorganized, with little guidance provided. There was a ticket mix-up, which was handled unprofessionally, and even after clarification, the staff member’s attitude remained unhelpful. Additionally, we waited over an hour past our scheduled appointment time, and the consultation felt rushed and dismissive. Overall, I was disappointed with the service. I hope NUH will improve staff training and patient care moving forward. A disappointed patient
Waiting time for Doctor consultation is always very long at least 1.30 to 2 Hr. I’ve been visiting over 10 times for the past 2 years and sadly no improvement for the waiting time. There are many elderly patients waiting uncomfortably.
