I’m so grateful (and relieved!) that I booked an appt with Dr. Andrew Loy! This is my first time to see an ENT specialist. I was worried to aggravate the ear by poking around in it. I had a reoccurring ear ache & I’m boarding a long haul flight tonight. His office booked me an appt. The space was inviting & calming. His team is lovely. I felt at home. Dr. Loy was very gentle when I expressed my fear of aggravating the ear ache & cabin pressure causing problems during the flight. What an excellent bedside manner. He listened to my concerns. He very gently examined my ear & told me exactly what he was going to do. It was painless and easy. Dr. Loy fixed the problem - a build up of wax from a previous infection. Instant relief! He examined my nose and throat for any other issues to make sure I was okay. Dr. Loy is very knowledgeable & kind. I absolutely recommend him. Thank you, Dr. Loy!

Dr Andrew Loy is a highly-skilled surgeon and patient-centric doctor. I’m so blessed to be under his care for the past few years and have recently completed a very successful operation in Jan 2023. I was referred by another specialist to consult Dr Loy in Dec 2020 for a tiny lump in my parotid gland (a salivary gland) near my left ear. Yearly MRI scans indicated that this tumour was growing marginally and was non-malignant. As such, I could KIV the option of surgical removal, especially since I have multiple drug allergies that triggered life-threatening anaphylaxis episodes in the past. However, in Dec 2022, I felt that it was time to consider surgery, as the tumour continued to grow, and I have a family and personal history of cancer. Furthermore, surgical risks increase with age, and I’m already turning 70 years old this year. Dr Loy gave his professional advice that it’s better to remove the tumour, as there is a risk of it turning malignant. The surgery was extremely smooth and safe. I didn’t experience any allergic reaction during the op, and none of my facial nerves were affected. The biopsy of the tumour revealed that it was cancerous. However, since Dr Loy had completely excised the tumour successfully, I don’t need to go for any Chemo treatment! Due to Dr Loy’s skilful stitching of my 7cm long wound and competent post-op wound management, my recovery process was very smooth and was in fact the fastest compared to the prior 28 operations that I had in the past 50 years! I’m so grateful to Dr Loy for his excellent care, professionalism and dedication. He is truly an outstanding doctor who has his patients’ best interests at heart!
