Sethi is one of those doctors you would wish were not treating you if he already was. He is rude, entitled, dismissive, abrasive, and has an air of superiority about him. He would do well to learn some lessons in being humble, and has much to learn. Good that patients have the freedom to find other ENT specialists given he’s in the private sector. Not sure why I was referred to him given his questionable reputation. I would not waste my time and request for another assignment from the referring doc if you were assigned to him. Can’t imagine if you got a polyclinic referral and ended up being stuck with him in the public sector; especially if it’s a major condition you need long-term care for. That would be so unfortunate, double the suffering.

On the day I was discharged, A/Prof Sethi checked on me briefly and leaves without discussing post-surgery care or addressing my concerns. His surgical skills are commendable, but his lack of empathy and communication regarding the recovery process left me feeling unsupported. As a biotechnologist with specific work conditions, the discomfort caused by the cyst affected my daily tasks. Despite seeking medical help from A/Prof Sethi, the reluctance to provide adequate medical leave or prescription medication hindered my ability to manage the issue effectively. While grateful for the successful cyst removal surgery, the overall experience with A/Prof Sethi's bedside manner and post-operative communication leaves much to be desired. It's crucial for a doctor to not only excel in their technical skills but also demonstrate empathy and effective communication, especially when dealing with patients facing unique challenges in their work environments. I would not recommend A/Prof Sethi to anyone after this negative experience. Sharing my honest review for others considering him as a specialist. It's essential for individuals to weigh different perspectives before making such important decisions regarding their healthcare.
