Families and students considering Economics Cafe would typically begin by enquiring about the relevant level and syllabus fit — whether that is A-Level H1 or H2 Economics, O-Level Social Studies and Economics, IP, or another curriculum. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and whether lessons are held in person at the Bishan centre or available online. Prospective students are encouraged to ask about a trial class before committing to a term, so they can assess teaching style, pace, and whether the content aligns with their school's examination requirements.
To take the next step, reach out to Economics Cafe via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm current class availability, session fees, and scheduling options before enrolling.

Although my child hadn't been attending his online classes for a while, I was still being charged for many lessons! mr quek did not have the basic decency to inform me that my child had been skipping. He also mentioned that every lesson, certain students, if not all, got reprimanded and ridiculed if they could not answer questions.
Mr Quek has really helped me a lot in my understanding of economics. His lessons are always very interesting and have made me come to like the subject. He also teaches us a lot of general knowledge about economics, making the subject very relevant to our daily lives and I always walk away learning something new from each lesson. His notes and essay books are all really useful as they're very applicable to the A level context. He's helped me improve from a U in prelims to an A at A levels. Thanks a lot Mr Quek!
Mr Quek is a really great teacher who really taught me to enjoy economics, not just as a subject but as a study of how society works. His lessons are engaging and well planned out, and takes great effort in helping all of his students regardless of their current standards. I strongly encourage those who need to improve their economics to sign up for his lessons.
Mr Quek has always made learning economics interesting which motivated me to study hard for the subject throughout the two years in jc. His teaching methods are directly applicable to the A level syllabus, as his notes and essay books are all very useful especially nearing the examinations. Beyond that, Mr Quek teaches us how economics can be applied in our every day lives which made me appreciate his classes more and made it easier for us to tackle the questions in examination conditions. Lastly, Mr Quek is very dedicated as he takes the time to answer our questions even after class through phone calls. Thank you for all your help mr Quek!
Mr Quek's lessons are engaging, and he also makes economics relevant to us by going through real-life examples. His books are also good notes for A level preparation, as they provide good sample essays and explain the concepts concisely. With Mr Quek's tutelage and guidance, I managed to improve my economics grades from an S before I joined Mr Quek's classes to an A in the actual A levels. Overall, a highly recommended economics tutor.

Economics Cafe has not published a specific per-session or monthly fee on its listing. Tuition centres in Singapore typically structure fees as a monthly package tied to a fixed number of sessions per week, or as a per-session rate. For Economics tuition at the A-Level or O-Level level, group class rates in Singapore commonly range from S$30 to S$80 per session depending on group size, while one-to-one arrangements tend to run higher. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available and at what cost, whether materials or notes are included in the fee, and whether sibling or referral discounts apply. Some centres charge a one-time registration fee at enrolment. See the full Tuition Centers cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee or free of charge — before a student commits to a full term or monthly package. This is a useful opportunity to assess whether the teaching style suits how the student learns, whether the pace and level of content align with what is being covered in school, and whether the class size feels appropriate. When attending a trial, it helps to bring recent examination papers or school notes so the tutor can gauge where the student currently stands. After the session, consider whether the student felt engaged, whether concepts were explained clearly, and whether the class environment felt conducive to learning. Contact Economics Cafe directly to ask about their trial class arrangement and associated cost.
Specific tutor credentials for Economics Cafe have not been provided in the listing. When evaluating any tuition centre for Economics, it is reasonable to ask whether the tutors hold a relevant university degree in Economics or a related discipline, whether they have prior MOE or NIE teaching experience, and how many years they have been teaching the subject at the level your child requires. It is also worth confirming that the teaching content is aligned with the current MOE syllabus — particularly given that the A-Level and O-Level Economics syllabi are updated periodically by SEAB. Contact Economics Cafe directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about tutor backgrounds and syllabus coverage before committing to a term.
