For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue availability. A GP consultation at a private clinic generally runs S$25–60 before investigations or prescriptions. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan, confirm whether the clinic is a panel provider, as this affects claim eligibility. Patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be able to access the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500–700 per year for outpatient treatment at participating clinics. Bring your NRIC and relevant medication history, and ask about referral letters if a specialist review is needed.
Call the clinic directly on the listed phone number to confirm current operating hours, queue status, and whether your specific condition or subsidy scheme is supported before making the trip.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Highly recommend this clinic. Very pleasant env even though it's in a bomb shelter. Nice calming music. Short queue and nice staff. Much better than visiting the crowded clinics nearby. Consultation fees are reasonable too. Can at 9plus in the morning and we were the first patient of the day.
Booked thru gov website for Moderna booster. Clinic was a bit hard to fine as it is in the basement room of HDB void deck. Next to multi storey carpark, exit via staircase 1 and cross the road to the void deck. Entrance is next to lifts . Clinic was efficient, went at 8pm on Mon night with no queue.
The clinic is neat and tidy. Reception nurse are very helpful and kind. Doctor also has patience and can discuss openly.
My go to clinic! Appreciate the warm and welcoming service from both the receptionists and doctors. Highly recommend to come to this clinic!

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits slightly lower. On top of the consultation fee, expect additional charges for investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine test (S$10–30), or rapid diagnostic tests (S$15–40 for flu or Covid), as well as any prescribed medications. For patients covered under CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme), GP visits at participating clinics attract subsidies for Singapore Citizens with blue, orange, or green cards. Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation cardholders receive additional co-payment reductions. Confirm whether Edgedale Medical Clinic Bishan participates in CHAS before your visit, as not all private GPs are enrolled. GST applies on private medical services. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Edgedale Medical Clinic Bishan on this directory. Every legitimate clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic licence and the consulting doctor's SMC entry before booking, particularly if planning investigations or referrals that involve MediSave or insurance claims. The absence of licence information in this listing does not necessarily indicate non-compliance, but it does mean the verification step falls to the patient.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, but GP visits at a general practice clinic are usually self-pay unless the clinic is on your insurer's panel. Check with your IP insurer before the visit. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500 per year (S$700 for two or more CDMP conditions). CHAS subsidies apply at participating clinics for eligible cardholders. For any planned procedure requiring referral, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
