About Eu Yan Sang

About Eu Yan Sang

Eu Yan Sang offers confinement food catering delivered islandwide from its Hougang Mall location. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, though no SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence appears on file, which is a point parents should clarify before committing. With only 5 Google reviews at 1.2/5 — an extremely small sample that should be treated as directional only — prospective customers are advised to seek additional references before booking.

Confinement food packages typically cover 28 days, with some providers offering shorter 7-day or 14-day trial arrangements. The standard delivery model includes two trays per day — lunch and dinner — with herbal soups, red dates tea, and tonics either included in the package or priced separately. Eu Yan Sang's heritage is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so its confinement menu is likely to follow Cantonese-influenced postnatal principles: warming ingredients, ginger, sesame oil, and herbal broths. Confirm whether the menu rotates daily, whether rice-wine-free or breastfeeding-adjusted options are available, and what the twice-daily delivery windows are. Meals should arrive hot within a roughly four-hour cooked-to-delivery window in BPA-free, microwave-safe containers.

To take the next step, contact Eu Yan Sang by phone or via the online enquiry form to request a trial meal, confirm the full 28-day package price, and verify the SFA licence status before paying any deposit.

I hurt my finger and asked for help to open the bottle which I bought. The staff refused. I have no idea what sort of terrible service this is. The bottle is so tight I can’t opened it at all with my other hands as well. Will not patronise this store ever again

This horrible sales person kept trying to upsell me products when i clearly just wanted to buy a small bottle. Then i asked about a promo i saw online but she never bothered to answer me and just continued speaking loudly in chinese and trying to upsell me more things. I am never stepping foot into this hougang mall outlet ever again.

Hougang Mall outlet. Cashier did not return change to my parent. When my parent mentioned this, another employee ignore the question and asked if we are Fraser member. Although it’s a very small amount but it goes to show the honesty of the staff. Or maybe cashier didn’t know he has to return the change if customer pays more.

Wanted to get a ginger or red dates tea.. Staff recommended the black sugar cubes as the store is having a promotion of getting 2 and free 1.. When making payment, the staff recommended buying 2 getting 2 free so end up getting 4 bottles.. Expiry date is December 2024. This was not communicated before the transactions.. Why would i wanna get 4 bottles of black sugar cubes when the expiry date is December and I only drink during my period. 🙄

Wanted to buy some supplements for the family. Website said it’s opened at 10.00am. Waited for 15 mins and still not opened. Gave up!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Eu Yan Sang charge for a confinement food package?

Eu Yan Sang has not published specific package pricing on this listing, so the exact cost is unavailable here. As a general guide, 28-day confinement food packages in Singapore typically range from S$1,200 to S$2,800, depending on the number of trays per day, whether herbal soups and tonics are bundled, and delivery coverage. Shorter 7-day or 14-day trial packages, where available, are usually priced proportionally. When you enquire, confirm what is included — lunch, dinner, breakfast, herbal soups, red dates tea — versus what is billed on top. Also ask whether there is a delivery surcharge for your address. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does Eu Yan Sang follow, and is there a trial meal?

Eu Yan Sang's background is in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so its confinement menu is expected to draw on Cantonese postnatal principles: warming herbs, ginger, sesame oil, and restorative broths such as ginger sesame chicken and red dates longan tea. Confirm with the provider whether the menu rotates day-to-day or repeats on a weekly cycle, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who prefer low-spice or rice-wine-free options. Before paying a package deposit, ask whether a single-day trial meal is available — most reputable caterers offer one at roughly S$30–60. Confinement appetite shifts daily, and a trial is the most reliable way to assess whether the flavour profile, portion size, and delivery timing suit you.

Is Eu Yan Sang licensed and how is food safety handled?

No SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence is currently recorded for this listing. Licensed confinement food operations should hold one of these, and the hygiene grade (A through D, with A being highest) should be verifiable through the SFA. Halal-certified providers additionally hold a MUIS certificate that appears on packaging. Parents should ask Eu Yan Sang directly to confirm its licence number and hygiene grade before committing. Confinement meals should be cooked the same day and delivered hot in BPA-free, microwave-safe containers within approximately four hours of cooking. Confirm the twice-daily delivery slots, packaging type, and the substitute or refund policy in the event of a missed delivery. Order a trial meal and confirm the SFA hygiene grade (and MUIS halal certificate if relevant) before paying the package deposit.
