I visited the clinic on 3 March 2026 and Dr Jayant V Iyer attended to me. He is very friendly and patience. He did my eye examination very thoroughly and he is able to diagnose my eye problem. He showed me photos of my eyes and he is very clear in his explanation and diagnosis of my problem. This is my first visit to this clinic and it is a very pleasant experience for me. Not having visited any eye specialist for ages, my MIL was worried that doctors may say something adverse about her eye condition. Thank God for the friendly nurses and doctors who spoke to my MIL in her mother tongue throughout her eye screening and testing procedures, explaining to her what they were doing at each step. Dr. Jayant was a charmer who immediately made everyone feel at ease and reassured my MIL that it was nothing but old age catching up with her. I was worried about the halo vision in one of my eye and found out about the community cataract screening. As it is near my office, I went for it, amidst great apprehension as my bread-and-butter depends on my eyes. Brenda and Jeevta were so nice and empathetic. Brenda explained everything so clearly and tenderly that all my fears were allayed. Jeevta, too , was so welcoming that you just want to visit them again and again. Definitely recommend but too bad they dont have one in the North!

I had a pleasant experience today at Straits Eye Centre. From making the reservation to the actual visit, everything went smoothly. The receptionist, Sharmila, was kind and accommodating. She checked in with the doctor ahead of my consultation on my requests, which I appreciated. Si Qi was incredibly patient and thorough in documenting all the relevant details we wanted the doctor to know. This really helped ease our anxiety, as we were initially concerned about whether the doctor would have enough time to listen to our medical history before making a diagnosis. Dr. Seow was excellent in examining my ongoing eye issues. He not only identified all the problems and their causes but also clearly explained the solutions. He broke things down in such a simple and understandable way, which really made a great difference for me. I’m truly grateful for this visit—it addressed and resolved the concerns I’ve been struggling with for a while.
