About Famicare Bedok

About Famicare Bedok

Famicare Bedok is a general practice clinic located at 158 Bedok South Avenue 3, serving residents in the Bedok area and beyond. The clinic holds a 4/5 rating across 123 Google reviews, which represents a robust sample and provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data, and the clinic is not ACRA-registered in the information provided, so prospective patients should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the attending doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

A typical visit to a GP clinic such as Famicare Bedok begins with a walk-in or pre-scheduled appointment for acute illness, chronic disease follow-up, minor injury, or preventive care such as vaccinations and basic health screening. For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents managing chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and selected mental health conditions — MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year may apply to eligible outpatient consultations. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether their insurer covers GP outpatient visits and what documentation is required. For specialist referrals, a letter from the GP is the standard pathway to a subsidised Specialist Outpatient Clinic appointment at a public hospital.

Contact Famicare Bedok via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm consultation hours, waiting times, and whether your specific condition or screening need can be addressed at this clinic before visiting.

I visited your clinic at 9:45am to see the doctor and in the shutter and google indicate that the clinic open at 10:00am-2:00pm. However, I was informed that there is a NO doctor FOR TODAY. I waste my time coming all the way to see the doctor. It's totally not professional at all. The shutter and also in the Google didn't mention that Sunday don't have doctor services. Please improve and update clearly so that people won't waste their time come all the way down.

Dr Roy and his team is helpful and friendly. Although waiting time is abit long but it’s worth the wait. It’s vry clean in the clinic inside and doctor’s is knowledgeable and patient. Can scan the “ QR code “ to write your experience. Quite many payment methods and there’s offer when using some payment methods ! Recommended ppl who is sick or wanna slim down some weights. Delightful moment in this place !👍🏻😄😄

So bad. Google said the clinic opened at 9am. Was there with my girl at 9am to get her an MC. The hours painted on the window say 9am. Small paper sign on the door has different hours than the window, says open at 10am. We leave and come back at 10am. Nurse behind counter clearly has a cold (red around nose, turning away from us to wipe nose) but doesn't wear a mask. Tells us no doctors until 2pm. Why bother opening the clinic? The nurse should be home on MC and the doctors should repaint the window and update Google. Went to True Clinic 3 doors down and had the MC within 20 minutes. Very fast and friendly service at True.

nurses are rude and unwelcoming giving very plain responses and answering queries in a very "how did you not know that" kinda way also made me pay $15 upfront to do art test or else i was denied entry (maybe this is the practice but ive nvr had to do this at any other clinic before) Doctor is also unprofessional and hella egoistic and judgy, asked me if I need mc and for how long and pretended to discuss with me just to say that he can only give 2 days which is literally the mimimum number of days despite literally acknowledging my illness and even said he would not even give if he thought I was lying about my condition, why would I pay money to see a doctor if I am not sick at all ??? I think having that suspicion about your patients to begin with is super unprofessional already. He stated that it was because of the new MOH guideline which I can kinda understand but I was very sick and he was generally very unprofessional overall

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Famicare Bedok charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, covering the consultation itself. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations such as blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, X-rays (S$80–150), and prescribed medications. GST applies on private medical services. For planned procedures or specialist referrals, patients should request a written financial counselling estimate that breaks down the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Famicare Bedok's exact fee schedule is not confirmed in the listing — contact the clinic directly for current pricing. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Famicare Bedok MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must also be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm the doctor's registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for Famicare Bedok. Patients are strongly advised to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration independently before booking. Neither alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Famicare Bedok?

MediSave can be used at GP clinics for consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, with a withdrawal limit of up to S$700 per year. General outpatient withdrawals outside CDMP are capped at S$500 per year. Confirm with the clinic whether your condition qualifies and whether the clinic is an accredited CDMP provider. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and selected day surgeries rather than routine GP visits, though some plans include an outpatient or GP rider — check your policy terms. For any referral to a specialist or planned procedure, request pre-authorisation from your insurer and a Letter of Guarantee before the appointment to avoid claim disputes after the fact. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
