We’ve been with Ms Ngu Yi Qin for the past 5 years, and both my children have been on Ortho-K since primary school. They have worn Ortho-K for about 8 years, and it has kept their myopia stable all this while. My eldest is now 18 and has just stopped wearing Ortho-K — and thankfully her degree has remained stable. As a parent, that is really something I’m very grateful for. Ms Ngu does their quarterly reviews very consistently and is always very thorough with her checks. She explains things clearly and gives practical advice on eye care. When my elder one had an eye infection, Ms Ngu was very detailed and reassuring in her assessment and follow-up — we honestly felt more assured than when we saw the eye doctor. We chose this centre because Stan Isaac was one of the pioneers in introducing Ortho-K in Singapore. They have a team of optometrists and a structured quarterly review system to closely monitor the children. With Ortho-K, regular follow-up is very important to minimise infection risks, so this gives us peace of mind. Overall, we’re thankful for the care and professionalism all these years. Would definitely recommend to parents considering Ortho-K for their kids.
