Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr. Ng provided a thorough and detailed consultation during my clinic visit. He put me at ease and offered valuable health advice. The clinical team was warm, friendly, and especially accommodating in arranging an appointment at short notice. My entire experience was smooth and reassuring. Thank you, Dr. Ng and the lovely team at Frontier Medical!
Doctors here don't even check on you properly, thinking they know your body better than you do. I've had wet cough, sore throat and runny nose for a week and need to see a doctor again. The doctor didn't even check on me for 5 minutes and straight away administered 2 days MC which I then argued it is not enough for me as I needed more time to recover, but he refused my request. What added Insult to the Injury is I ended up rejecting the MC and the medications and plan to see a doctor elsewhere but I still have to pay a shocking amount of 50 dollars just for consultation??? Like this is daylight robbery as what kind of less than 5 minutes consultation is that expensive? Worst clinic I've ever been to and I would not recommend it to anyone, you are better off taking care of yourself than going to consult a doctor at this stupid clinic.
I’ve been to this clinic twice. The doctors are nice and professional. They take the time to check and explain thoroughly (Dr Ng and Dr Wang). The staff are efficient and approachable as well. The place is quite clean and has comfortable seats.
Dr Ng is the BEST doc. I’ve been seeing him for many years and I trust him with my life. lol! Anyone looking for a kind, caring, and knowledgeable doc, please don’t hesitate to look for Dr Ng.
I have been visiting Frontier Medical at Ubi for more than 10 years. The staff is friendly and approachable. Special mention to Dr Howe Wen Li. She is an exceptional doctor who combines expertise with genuine compassion. She is thorough in her diagnosis and her personalized care made a significant difference in my health journey. I am grateful for her dedication and contribution towards my family’s health. I highly recommend Dr Howe to anyone seeking medical advice.

GP consultation fees at private GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, covering the consultation itself. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations (blood panel S$60–200, swab tests S$30–80, urine analysis S$15–30), prescription medications, medical certificates, and any procedures carried out during the visit. GST applies on private medical services. For patients on the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), Singapore Citizens with blue, orange, or green CHAS cards may be eligible for subsidised consultation fees at participating GP clinics — confirm with the clinic whether it is a CHAS panel member. MediSave can be used for CDMP-listed chronic condition consultations (up to S$700/year) and selected outpatient treatments. For any planned investigation or referral, request a breakdown of the expected costs before proceeding. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are recorded in this listing for Frontier Medical Associates Ubi Avenue. Every legitimate GP clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Given that no licences appear in this listing, it is advisable to verify the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before booking, particularly for chronic disease management or if you intend to make a MediSave or insurance claim. The absence of ACRA registration in this listing is a further gap to clarify with the clinic. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations and treatments related to CDMP-listed chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, mental health conditions, and others) up to S$700 per year, and for selected scans and procedures under separate withdrawal limits. Routine acute consultations — such as a cough, cold, or minor injury — are generally not MediSave-claimable at the outpatient level. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan (IP) layered on MediShield Life, check whether Frontier Medical Associates Ubi Avenue is a panel GP under your insurer's scheme, as panel status typically reduces your co-payment or triggers cashless billing. For planned investigations, the clinic should be able to advise on which costs qualify for MediSave or IP claims versus what falls fully out-of-pocket. For CHAS cardholders, confirm the clinic's panel status before each visit, as CHAS subsidies apply per consultation and are deducted at the point of billing. Keep your CHAS card and medical insurance details on hand when registering.
