When reaching out, it helps to have a few details ready: your pet's size, breed, and general temperament, along with any specific behavioural concerns you would like addressed. Vaccination records are typically required before training sessions begin, so gather those in advance. You may wish to ask about a trial visit to assess how your pet responds to the trainer and environment before committing to a recurring schedule. Clarify whether sessions are conducted at your home, at the MacPherson Road premises, or at another location, and whether drop-off or mobile arrangements are available.
To take the next step, reach out to Gentlepaws via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form with your pet's details and your availability. Confirm the session format, frequency, and total cost in writing before proceeding.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
We highly recommend Gentle Giants especially Celine and Jess, who genuinely listens to our concerns, preference and requests and goes beyond any pets shop we know to fulfill. Being the overly-cautious type, we were worried about medical issues and they addressed our concerns with the vet during the medical checks to give us the assurance Once we brought Rose home, we immediately noticed that she recognizes her name and responded (days before we did share the name we chose without thinking much of it), it is these little things that GG does that add so much value to their name and reputation And even till now months down the road, they are still so responsive, even helping us to connect with the owner of Rose's sibling (which honestly i would say very little shops will even bother to go this extra mile) Today Rose our little 6 month girl is a bundle of unlimited energy, within the 3 months with us, she has doubled in weight, she is super smart with the same human sense of curiosity, discovery and intelligence, forever trying to test boundaries and her hoo-mans, and has learnt to integrate with our existing cat and dog, the list can go on, she continuously amazes us everyday From the bottom of our hearts, thank you GG
We got our dearest mini dachshund (Alfie) from Gentle Giants and he's been a dream. Right from the get-go we could tell that our pup was well socialised - it didn't take long for us to comfortably touch his paws, ears, and teeth, which showed us that Celine and her team did really well ensuring that the puppies at Gentle Giants would adjust outside. Besides that, Celine was also really accommodating to our requests. We visited Alfie a number of times before bringing him home, and each time we requested for a visit, we were able to play with him and get a good gist of his personality too. The team was knowledgeable about Alfie and his siblings, willingly shared tips and advice, and gave us plenty of time to prepare our home for a new puppy as first time owners. We might have struck the lottery with Alfie, but we also know that it's also from the team's efforts that he was able to transition easily to a life with new owners. Thank you Gentle Giants, we'll love Alfie forever!
We purchased Olive, our Border Collie, from Gentle Giants. Olive has a wonderful personality and is well socialised. He already knew how to sit by the time we brought him home, which speaks about the care and early training he received. I had an excellent experience with Jess at the store. She was incredibly responsive to our questions, and our appointment was arranged quickly and smoothly. During the process, we also faced several personal issues, and both Jess and the owner went out of their way to support and accommodate us, something we’re deeply grateful for. Jess's thoughtfulness didn’t end there after we collected Olive. She kindly kept the shop open and waited with us until our taxi arrived so that we wouldn’t have to stand by the roadside with him for long. Even after we brought Olive home, Jess continued to check in, offering tips on caring for him and answering all our questions. She also connected us with Olive’s siblings by sharing their Instagram accounts, which was a lovely touch. I cannot thank Jess enough for making the entire experience so smooth, warm, and reassuring. She genuinely cares for the dogs and their new families, and it shows in everything she does. Thanks so much!
We went to multiple places to find a companion that would suit our home, and I was recommended by a friend to drop by Gentle Giant. We really love the space we have when we were viewing the puppies, having a big place to run about, toys to play, safe boundaries for us to see how they all interact with the environment. As it’s our first time getting a puppy, we were unsure of a lot of things, what a comfortable size dog we should get. Celine was very responsive right from the start, providing me with so much information. Even late at night, she also replied promptly. Jo and Agnes introduced 3 puppies to us, and they could answer all our questions, showed us abit of the parents’ photos, and also showed us the vet’s report. They were also upfront about one of their puppies, stating it has a slight knee joint issue, and gave us tips on how to monitor and care for it (because we eventually got it)! We could tell how much they cared for the puppies from the way the puppies interacted and played with them. Very glad we found Gentle Giant, would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a new companion(:
I had such a great experience getting my dog from GentleGiants! Celine was super helpful and answered all my questions along the way. My rough collie, Bowie, is healthy, happy, and so well-mannered. You can really tell they put a lot of care into their dogs. Highly recommend!

Gentlepaws has not published a detailed price list, so rates should be confirmed directly. In the Singapore market, pet training sessions typically vary by session length, whether training is one-to-one or group-based, and the complexity of the behavioural goals involved. Breed size and temperament can also influence pricing. Additional costs to clarify include any transport surcharge if the trainer travels to your home, charges for supplementary sessions, and whether training aids or materials are included. Ask for a written breakdown before committing. See the full Pet Training cost guide for Singapore →
Most reputable pet service providers in Singapore require dogs to be up to date on core vaccinations — typically DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies — before any in-person sessions. For cats, FVRCP vaccination is the standard expectation. Vaccination records are usually required to have been administered within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination certificate to the first session or send a copy in advance if requested. If your pet's records are not current, schedule a vet visit before booking. Contact Gentlepaws directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements.
Gentlepaws is verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It carries a 4.9-star Google rating across 73 reviews, which is a moderate sample and broadly encouraging. However, no ACRA registration has been confirmed for this listing, and no AVS licence is recorded — clients arranging drop-off sessions or boarding alongside training should ask specifically about AVS licensing and facility accreditation. Ask Gentlepaws directly whether they carry insurance covering incidents during training sessions, and what their protocol is if a pet is injured or becomes unwell. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
