New patients typically begin by calling ahead or submitting an enquiry form to book a first consultation, at which the dentist will assess presenting concerns — whether routine scaling and polishing, fillings, extractions, root canal treatment, or cosmetic work such as whitening or veneers. It is worth confirming which treatments are available in-house and whether the clinic accepts Medisave for eligible procedures (such as surgical extractions and certain periodontic treatments) or is a CHAS-accredited clinic for subsidised dental care for Pioneer Generation, Merdeka Generation, and lower-to-middle-income cardholders. Patients should also confirm the cancellation policy and whether a consultation fee applies separately from treatment.
To get started, contact Greenlife Dental Clinic (Tiong Bahru) by phone or through the enquiry form to book a consultation appointment.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the Singapore Dental Council public register before treatment.
Have been consulting Dr Melody Fam for many years. She would always keep me updated on my teeth’s condition, what I did well and what can be improved on my part as caring for my teeth is my responsibility. Dr Melody is a nice to talk to, gentle during dental procedures, will often ask if I’m okay during cleaning/scaling.
I just had an extraction done at Greenlife Dental Clinic - Toa Payoh. Dr Au Yong and Dr Lim were both very patient and caring doctors. 🙏🏻I would also like to thank Ms Bradel for sitting down keeping me accompany when I was waiting for Dr Au Yong’s arrival. Ms Bradel was trying to calm me down as I was in a lot of pain. 🥹. She even had to take a late lunch because of that. The receptionist and clinic assistant were also very gentle and caring who kept assuring me that I would be alright. 🥰 Kudos to everyone at the clinic! 👍🏻
Delightful as always. Front desks on both levels are always pleasant. After previous dentist opened her own practice, have been following Dr. Delwyn. He's very gentle, attentive and detailed. I bring my parents here as well, my dad follows Dr. Delwyn as well and my mom loves Dr Melody. And I do mean LOVE. My mom is always nervous and anxious when it comes to dental appointments but always relaxes when she gets comforted by Dr. Melody's warm demeanor, gentleness and her extra care. 2 thumbs up for the 2 doctors and the Toa Payoh team. 😍😍🥳🥳👍🏼👍🏼

She explained to me clearly my dental condition and the procedures. The entire experience from my first step into the clinic till the end of my dental procedures were very smooth and fuss-free. Will highly recommend her to anyone interested.

No referral is required to attend a general dental clinic in Singapore — patients may book directly. At the first visit, expect a clinical examination and, where indicated, dental X-rays to assess tooth and bone health before any treatment is recommended. It is helpful to note any current medications, allergies, or medical conditions (such as blood-thinning medication or heart conditions) as these affect treatment planning. For more complex cases — orthodontics, implants, oral surgery, or significant cosmetic work — the dentist may refer you to a specialist registered with the Singapore Dental Council. If you intend to claim under a corporate dental benefit or insurer, confirm the claim procedure and pre-authorisation requirements before treatment begins.
All dentists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) — the public register is searchable by name at dentalcouncil.gov.sg. Dental therapists and oral health therapists are similarly registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). It is reasonable to ask for the consulting dentist's full name and SDC registration number before treatment, particularly for invasive procedures. Greenlife Dental Clinic (Tiong Bahru) does not currently list regulatory licences on this profile. Confirm the practitioner's SDC registration directly with the clinic or via the SDC public register before proceeding with treatment.
