Families considering a medical escort service typically begin by assessing the elder's mobility, cognitive level, and the nature of the appointment — whether a routine specialist visit, a procedure requiring recovery time, or an urgent referral. Key questions to raise with Growing Needs include the carer's training level (first-aid certified, nursing background, or trained nursing aide), whether a wheelchair or ambulance-class vehicle is available for mobility-impaired seniors, how long the escort will remain with the elder at the clinic, and whether the accompanying carer can communicate with medical staff and relay information back to the family. Confirm coverage for your preferred hospital or polyclinic, and whether same-day or short-notice bookings are accepted.
To take the next step, reach out to Growing Needs via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form with details of the elder's mobility needs, the appointment location, and the preferred date and time, so they can confirm availability and provide a quote.

I highly recommend The Growing Academy! They did a fantastic job with my son, Caleb, and we really appreciate the care and guidance from the teachers. A special shoutout to Teacher Ling—she has been wonderful and truly makes learning engaging and supportive. We are enrolled in the half-day daily programme, and it has been a great experience. My son is happier, learning well, and developing important skills in a nurturing environment. If you’re looking for a good programme with dedicated educators, I definitely recommend The Growing Academy.
The Growing Academy (TGA) helps kids with all sorts of special needs. Our son has been attending after school care at TGA this year, and he was more than happier. Recently the child had attended the 2 days camp during school holiday, it was pleasant experience for kids to gain more independence and have plenty fun opportunities. The teachers are patient and dedicated, taking the time to explain school home work too. There’s noticeable improvement of child’s behavior and he's gained much confidence in his social skills with peers. A safe and conducive environment for the child is highly important. Highly recommended for after school care ctr!
This 2D1N school holiday camp ( 11-12Sep 25) from Upper Paya outlet has been such a wonderful and meaningful experience for my son. It gave him the opportunity to try things he’s never done before — from enjoying a campfire and BBQ dinner to watching a late-night movie surrounded by a big group of friends. It was not just fun, but also a great way for him to build independence, social confidence, and unforgettable memories. I'm truly grateful to the school and teachers for organizing such a well-rounded and enriching camp experience.
The teachers and therapists from TGA have very good ability to connect with my child. The progress we've seen in my child's speech and language skills is truly remarkable. The shadow teacher has been an invaluable support in the classroom, providing tailored assistance to ensure my child can fully participate and thrive alongside the peers. I'm incredibly grateful for their patience, creativity, and unwavering support to have made a significant difference in my child’s daily preschool life.
We have been in TGA for over a year now, and I'm glad to say I do see improvement in my son's behaviour and communication skills. He is now much more expressive and is very happy to go to school. (A huge difference, as compared the experience with his previous schools). Everyday after school, he would share with me excitedly what did he do in school and always looks forward to the next schooling day. The teachers there provided daily and timely updates on he learned and did in school. As well as highlighted any areas which requires more attention. Communication with the teachers are done via the app and they do response pretty promptly too. Heartfelt thank you to all the teachers in TGA for taking care and loving my boy!

Growing Needs did not publish specific rates at the time of listing. Medical escort services in Singapore are typically priced by duration — a half-day escort (up to four hours) commonly runs S$80–180, while a full-day or post-procedure escort with extended wait time can reach S$200–350 or more. Surcharges may apply for public holidays, wheelchair-accessible transport, or night-time appointments. Confirm with Growing Needs whether the quoted fee covers transport to and from the appointment, waiting time at the clinic or hospital, and any ancillary support such as assistance with registration, pharmacy collection, or communication with the care team. Ask for the full cost in writing before confirming the booking. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
Growing Needs is listed under medical escort services, which is a visit-based, appointment-specific arrangement rather than a live-in or recurring home-care model. Each engagement is tied to a specific appointment — the carer accompanies the elder to the clinic or hospital, provides support during the visit, and returns them home safely. This model suits families who need occasional, reliable support for medical appointments rather than daily caregiving. If your loved one has regular specialist reviews, it is worth asking Growing Needs whether a recurring booking arrangement is available and whether the same carer can be assigned consistently, which can help build familiarity and trust with the elder.
Growing Needs does not currently list specific regulatory licences or certifications in its KakiList profile. Before booking, ask directly about the training background of the carers — relevant credentials include Enrolled Nurse (EN), nursing aide qualifications, or completion of formal caregiver training programmes such as those offered through AIC-recognised providers. Also confirm whether the service carries public liability insurance covering incidents during the escort, and what the protocol is if the elder's condition changes at the clinic or en route. For seniors with dementia or complex medical needs, ask specifically about the carer's experience with those conditions.
