For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to confirm waiting times. A GP consultation covers acute illness, chronic disease management, minor procedures, and referrals to specialist care where needed. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits for qualifying outpatient treatment. For referrals to public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOC), a GP referral letter unlocks subsidised consultation rates of S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, though waiting times for non-urgent SOC appointments typically run four to twelve weeks.

I visited GSH Clinic today for an ankle sprain and had a very positive experience. The reception process was smooth and efficient. Dr Goh was patient, professional, and genuinely willing to listen. He took the time to carefully examine my condition and clearly explained the diagnosis and recovery process. His calm and attentive approach made me feel reassured and well cared for. Highly recommend Dr Goh and GSH Clinic for their professional and thoughtful service.
Very meticulous and thorough doctor that is willing to listen attentively. Such a rare gem these days✨ would support him even if he moves to a further location! Keep it up! Also, shout out to the friendly receptionist (younger) who helped to secure my hospital appointment at an earlier date! Suggestion: as much as possible, customers that booked at specific time should be prioritised to enter at that time(no longer than a 10 min wait), rather than walk ins. There is a reason why we booked at that time and have scheduled our later events accordingly. I have 2 not so fantastic experience and felt it wasn’t very fair and respectful to customers that booked and blocked out our time for the clinic sessions. Receptionists should try to manage expectations with walk in customers and not over promise that they are the first etc, this should be subjected to the customers who already booked days ahead. Other than that, I had very friendly and pleasant experience with the team! The younger receptionist has an amazing memory and knows my family- amazing! 🤩
Dr Goh is thorough and likes to talk to patients. The receptionist is efficient at dispensing medicine. Smooth and great experience when there are no other patients. Wait times might be long when there’s others as they may be doing some tests.
Dr Goh truly a friendly and humble. Highly recommended in the kovan neighbourhood! Price is reasonable n does not practice poly pharmacy. Hope he keeps affordable pricing and maintains excellent service. The staffs are friendly n chatty also, helps avoid long waiting by letting me go for makan first after taking q number.
Dr.Goh is friendly and cheerful but he is also very late and unavailable. While I was waiting for him to arrive at the clinic, another client had already waited for more than an hour. I was very sick and had covid. The other client was unhappy that I sat next to him, and your front desk girl blamed it on me to be sitting next to him. I left after waiting for more than 30 mins because I was too ill to pick a fight and needed better care and attention. Not to mention, before that your girl also asked me to go home and take a new test kit from my home to prove I have covid. I went to a different clinic after and realized all this was unnecessary. Total waste of time for a sick person.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with follow-up visits often at the lower end of that range. Investigations billed on top of the consultation include blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), and urine tests, depending on the presenting condition. Prescriptions are generally charged separately. For planned referrals to specialist care, a GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic brings the first specialist consultation down to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens after subsidy, compared with S$120–250 at a private specialist without a referral. GST applies on private medical consultations. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history by searching the doctor's name. No regulatory licences were returned in the current listing data for GSH Clinic and Surgery Yio Chu Kang Road Space Kovan. Patients are strongly advised to confirm both the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the named consulting doctor's SMC registration directly with the clinic before booking. Neither the licence nor the SMC entry alone is sufficient — both should be verified.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500 or S$700 per year depending on the withdrawal tier. Standard GP consultations for acute illness are generally not MediSave-claimable on an outpatient basis. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient admissions and day surgery rather than routine GP visits — check your policy's outpatient rider terms before expecting reimbursement. For any planned referral involving a procedure or specialist consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Confirm with the clinic whether they are a CHAS-accredited GP, as CHAS orange and blue card holders receive additional subsidies on chronic disease management and acute visits.
