When enquiring, it is worth clarifying which subject and academic level you need covered — whether O-Level, A-Level, IP, IB, IGCSE, or polytechnic — and confirming that the tutor's approach aligns with the relevant syllabus. You should also ask whether sessions are conducted one-to-one or in a small group, and whether tuition takes place at the Bishan address, at the student's home, or online. Clarifying the term commitment or minimum number of sessions upfront, as well as any materials fees, will help you plan accordingly.

Mr Khoo is very experienced and is able to teach the content in a simple and comprehensive manner. He also has the necessary resources like questions from different schools which exposes students to the many question types, which is very important.
I have made my daughter join the centre for J1, after reading good reviews online. The teachers are excellent. They have indepth knowledge and very good experience. They make complex subjects engaging with ample of explanation and examples. They provide very good practice material for learning and practice. Extra attention paid during exams.
Throughout the past months in sgphysics, I have learnt a lot of invaluable things and gained many insights on the weaker parts of my academics, and was able to hone my skills accordingly to fare better in small tests in school. The teachers here are very kind and patient with us and make our lessons very interesting and engaging, helping us learn better also. I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to Ms Lynn and Mr John and happy Teacher’s Day.
Thank you Mr Sng for always explaining math concepts to such great detail, and for always simplifying complex questions into more manageable and understandable steps. Even though I am doing online classes, Mr Sng is still so attentive, always checking in with me to see if I have any questions. Ever since joining his class, I feel like I am understanding the concepts much better :) Thank you again and Happy Teachers' Day!! - Audrey
Mr John Lee really saved my Physics from a passing grade to an A1. After attending his classes, I understand concepts much clearer now, and I always enjoy going to his engaging lessons. He’s a really funny and informative teacher. Thank you for your hard work Mr Lee! - Shi Han (NCHS)

SG Physics, Chemistry & Math has not published its pricing on this listing, so you will need to enquire directly for current rates. As a general guide, private tuition in Singapore for Physics, Chemistry, or Maths typically ranges from around S$40–S$80 per session for group classes and S$60–S$150 or more per session for one-to-one tuition, depending on the academic level and the tutor's experience. When you enquire, ask whether fees are charged per session or bundled into a monthly or term package, whether there is a separate fee for the trial class, and whether printed or digital materials carry an additional cost. Some tutors offer sibling or multi-subject discounts, so it is worth asking if that applies. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →
SG Physics, Chemistry & Math has not specified its trial class policy on this listing, so you should confirm directly whether a trial session is available and whether it is charged at the standard rate or offered at a reduced fee. A trial class is a practical way to gauge whether the tutor's pace, explanation style, and use of worked examples suit your child's learning preferences. It also lets you assess whether the level pitched matches your child's current school work and whether the session format — one-to-one or group — keeps your child sufficiently engaged. If a trial is available, come prepared with a recent school paper or assignment so the tutor can quickly identify gaps and demonstrate how they would address them.
Credential details for SG Physics, Chemistry & Math are not published on this listing. When you make contact, it is reasonable to ask about the tutor's academic qualifications, whether they hold a degree in the relevant subject discipline, and whether they have prior NIE-trained or MOE school teaching experience. For the Singapore curriculum, it is equally useful to confirm that the tutor is up to date with the current MOE syllabus for the specific level — O-Level, A-Level, IP, or IB — as syllabus revisions do occur periodically. If your child is sitting a different framework such as IGCSE or AP, confirm that the tutor has direct experience with that examination board. Requesting a brief profile or résumé before the trial class is entirely reasonable and helps set expectations on both sides.
