Families typically begin by enquiring about the appropriate level and syllabus fit — whether that is the MOE primary or secondary English curriculum, creative writing, or examination preparation. From there, prospective students are encouraged to arrange a trial class to assess the teaching style, pacing, and whether the group or one-to-one format suits their child's learning needs. It is worth confirming term commitment expectations upfront, as some providers require full-term enrolment while others offer month-to-month flexibility. Writers' Guild Learning Centre can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, making it straightforward to ask these questions before committing.

To get started, send a WhatsApp message or submit the enquiry form with your child's current school level, the subject or writing area you need support with, and your preferred schedule. Ask about a trial class and confirm the format — group or one-to-one — before signing up for a full term.

My twin girls are attending Teacher Devya's creative writing classes and they look forward to it every week! She is friendly and approachable. Her classes are fun and engaging. It's a joy see my children going to classes with enthusiasm. They will revisit and revise phrases/vocab that they had learnt in class every week! One of my girls scored full marks in compo after attending her class for 2.5months. The materials provided are very comprehensive. Counter staff are also friendly and helpful whenever I need to make up classes! 👍 Overall very satisfied with Writer's Guild AMK!

Dear Writers Guild and teacher Shannon, My son has struggled with English writing. He can speak a lot and fluently. We had friend recommended us to enroll him in Writer Guild to improve his writing skills and confidence in writing. After few sessions with teacher Shannon, my son liked her a lot and became more confident in English writing. We beleive that he will progress well to gain more writing skills and confident in writing in near future under the guidance of teacher Shannon. I definitely would recommend Writers Guild to all parents who wish their children to gain confidence in writing and picking up more writing skills. Best regards.

I’ve been attending Teacher Irah’s creative writing classes and they have helped me improve my essay writing. She explains concepts clearly and makes lessons engaging without being boring. The phrases and vocabulary taught in class are useful and easy to apply in my essays. My writing has become more organised and my confidence in composition has improved. Very good

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Writers' Guild Learning Centre" charge per session?

Pricing at Writers' Guild Learning Centre is listed at the mid-range tier ($$), though exact per-session or monthly package rates are not publicly displayed and should be confirmed directly with the centre. In the Singapore private tuition market, group tuition sessions for primary and secondary levels typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session, while one-to-one tuition can run S$60 to S$150 or more depending on the tutor's qualifications and the level taught. Can I try a class before committing?

Many tuition providers in Singapore offer a trial class so that students and parents can assess whether the teaching approach, pace, and level are a good fit before committing to a term. It is worth asking Writers' Guild Learning Centre directly whether a trial class is available, whether it carries a fee, and how it is structured. During a trial session, pay attention to whether the tutor adjusts explanations to the student's level, whether the student feels engaged rather than lost or under-challenged, and whether the class size feels appropriate. A one-to-one trial tends to give the clearest signal of teaching style, while a group trial shows you the class dynamic. If the centre does not offer a standalone trial, ask whether you can attend the first session of a new term with the option to withdraw before the second lesson if the fit is not right.

What are the tutors' credentials at "Writers' Guild Learning Centre"?

Tutor credentials are not listed publicly for Writers' Guild Learning Centre, so it is recommended that you ask directly before committing. Relevant questions include whether tutors hold a degree in English, Literature, or a related field; whether any have NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience; and how many years they have been teaching at the primary, secondary, or junior college level. For writing-focused tuition, it is also useful to ask whether the curriculum is aligned to the current MOE syllabus, including any recent examination format changes, or whether it incorporates broader creative writing frameworks beyond exam preparation. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a full term.
