Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Visited this clinic twice and was attended by Dr Hing who is very detail, patient and soft spoken. Very comfortable speaking to him and he is very assuring and put you at ease. Blood was taken smooth and easy. Medical report result received fast and good. The clinic is a bit old-looking but clean. Clinic can be quite crowded in the morning as both my visits were in the morning.
I went for a medical check-up for insurance and was surprised to find that the glucose level in my urine was extremely high. A re-test showed the same result. The doctor suggested that I visit my family doctor for further tests. I immediately made an appointment with my family doctor and did a lab test, and the results showed that I was completely fine. Because the two results were so different, the insurance company requested another test at a different clinic slightly later. I went to another clinic in AMK, and the results were also normal and good. I honestly don’t know what went wrong with Healthway Medical...
Dr. Hing is a very patient and soft-hearted doctor, though it’s not always easy to get an appointment with him. The counter nurses, Ms. Ro (Filipina) is gentle, polite, and knowledgeable about medications, which makes me feel reassured. Ms. Ali is simply adorable and humorous, always bringing warmth and joy to each visit. A wonderful and caring team!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience at the clinic with Dr. Hing Siong Chen and the nurse, Ms Rollisen. Both were extremely professional, kind and attentive throughout my visit. Dr. Hing took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel at ease, while the nurse was gentle and caring. Truly appreciate their dedication and service. Highly recommended!
The clinic closes at 5pm and we walk in at 4.45pm. I saw the sign registration closed, however there's only 1 person waiting outside the consultation room, so I tried asking if they can accept another patient as my mom in her late 70s is feeling giddy. The assistant asked the DOCTOR through the window, and she came back rejected us and said the registration is closed. We went to another clinic 2 streets away, luckily nothing serious but this doctor warned us that old people feeling giddy could be serious and may need to go to a hospital to do a thorough check. Upon hearing that, I am surprised that they did not bother checking if it's serious and simply rejected us. Thankfully, nothing serious.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up reviews at the lower end. On top of the consultation fee, expect separate charges for investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine test, swab, or X-ray, as well as prescription medication dispensed at the clinic. GST applies on private medical services. For patients with CDMP-listed chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and others), MediSave can be used to offset outpatient bills within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limits. Acute visits without a CDMP component are generally not MediSave-claimable at the outpatient level. Confirm the exact consultation fee and MediSave eligibility with the clinic directly before your visit. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are currently listed on this KakiList profile, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed. Before booking, patients should verify two things independently: first, that the clinic premises hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — searchable on the MOH licensee directory online; second, that the consulting doctor is registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) — searchable by name at smc.gov.sg, which also shows specialist accreditation and any disciplinary history. Healthway Medical is a well-known GP chain operating across Singapore, and the group's other branches hold the relevant licences, but it is good practice to confirm the specific branch and named doctor before attending. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's SMC registration alone is sufficient — both should be verified. The clinic's 3.2/5 rating across 98 Google reviews is a moderate sample and sits below typical for highly rated GP practices; reading recent reviews for context on waiting times and service quality is advisable.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover routine outpatient GP consultations — they apply primarily to hospitalisation, day surgery, and specialist outpatient visits in some plans. Confirm your IP policy terms with your insurer before expecting coverage. MediSave outpatient withdrawals are permitted for CDMP-listed chronic conditions, capped at S$500 per year (or S$700 with the enhanced CDMP framework). If you are managing a chronic condition at this clinic, ask the doctor to register the visit under CDMP so MediSave can be applied. Acute illness visits — flu, minor injuries, infections — are generally not MediSave-claimable at the GP level and will be billed in cash or via integrated Shield co-pay only where applicable. For any planned procedure or specialist referral arising from the consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving provider that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before committing.
