About Healthway Medical (Boon Keng)
Healthway Medical (Boon Keng) is a general practice clinic located at 101 Towner Road, #01-236, within the Boon Keng residential precinct. The clinic is part of the Healthway Medical group and operates on a per-visit basis. It carries a 3.4/5 rating across 139 Google reviews — a robust sample, though the rating sits below the typical benchmark for well-regarded GP practices. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data at this time.
For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue status. A GP consultation covers presenting symptoms, examination, investigation requests (blood work, urine, or referral for imaging where indicated), prescription, and a follow-up plan if needed. As a general practice within a group network, the clinic may facilitate referrals to specialists under Integrated Shield Plan pre-authorisation pathways or via polyclinic-equivalent referral letters to public hospital specialist outpatient clinics. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol may enquire about enrolment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for qualifying outpatient consultations and medications.
To engage the clinic, reach out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to confirm operating hours and current wait times before making your way to the Towner Road address.

Went to see doctor yesterday as I was down with cough and fever. The doctor is very patient and nice and likewise all the nurses as well. It was so much better compared to 1-2 yrs ago.The only set back was when i arrived there at 12 noon, was told that its close for registration and come back at 2 pm. It will be good if this info is indicated in the website so that other patients dont have to make a 2nd trip again. Other than that, this is one of the good clinics around
I’m really thankful to Dr Tan Just Sen for his genuine care and professionalism. He explained my condition clearly and gave me confidence in the treatment. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a clinic. Highly recommended! provides exceptional care with genuine compassion and professionalism. I feel reassured and well-informed the visit.
This was my first visit to the clinic after moving to Boon Keng. Dr Tan was so friendly and attentive, and the front counter staff were polite and friendly too. Definitely a pleasant visit :)
I would like to commend Dr Tan Just Sen and the male staff at Healthway Medical Boon Keng for their excellent service. Dr Tan was thorough, patient, and professional, while the male staff was courteous and very helpful throughout my visit. Truly appreciate their great teamwork and care. Thank you so much.
Extremely excellent experience at this clinic! Even though there was a bit of a queue, the service was incredibly efficient and fast. The staff was friendly, and everything seemed to run smoothly. But the highlight of my visit was definitely the doctor. He was very sweet, gentle, and made me feel comfortable. It’s rare to find a doctor who genuinely cares and takes the time to explain everything in such a kind and calm manner. Thank you for such a positive experience!

GP consultations at private group clinics typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits sometimes slightly lower. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations (blood panel S$60–200), urine tests, and prescriptions. GST applies on private medical services. Patients holding CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) cards — Blue, Orange, or Green tiers — may be entitled to subsidised GP consultations at participating Healthway outlets; confirm whether this specific branch participates before attending. MediSave withdrawal under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (up to S$700/year) applies to listed chronic conditions if enrolled. For any planned procedure or specialist referral, request a written financial estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been confirmed in the current listing data. Healthway Medical is a known group practice in Singapore, but patients should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence independently on the MOH licensee directory before attending. Every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the consulting doctor's name to confirm registration status and any specialist accreditation. For a general practice clinic, basic SMC registration as a medical practitioner is the core credential. If the clinic offers any surgical or specialist procedures, a Royal College or Academy of Medicine Singapore fellowship (FRCS or FAMS) in the relevant discipline is the additional credential to look for. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays — they do not typically cover standard GP outpatient visits unless the visit leads to a same-day hospitalisation. Confirm your IP's outpatient rider scope with your insurer before expecting coverage at the GP level. MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year. Standard GP visits for acute illness are generally not MediSave-claimable unless they meet the CDMP criteria. CHAS cardholders should confirm participation status with the clinic directly. For any planned procedure referred onward, request a written financial counselling estimate itemising insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit — this is the most reliable way to avoid a surprising final bill.
